My avatar is not a photo. It is cropped from a digital oil painting I did awhile back, based on a still of Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf in the movie, The Hours.  Back story being that maybe 10 years ago someone did (almost certainly with ulterior motives) compare me favorably to Kidman, and I am a bit fan of Virginia Woolf and the whole Bloomsbury crowd... kind of ties into my past as an English major, and a remembrance of my advisor and mentor from that time.

Very nice!

Hormones should help, but attitude and smiling more might do the trick on their own.  Though electrolysis would probably help a lot too.

Thanks for the insight!

My hair and the attitude... well, just got out of bed in these pictures lol but I agree... attitude and how you present make the difference; hard to notice in a still picture.

I don't have much experience calling these things out, but Alex_K I think you are gonna look great

With hormones your neck will shrink which makes a big difference, and a little bit of eyebrow feminization could go a long way. Also if you open your eyes a little more I think it will bring out the natural femininity in your face :D

Cheers to laser hair removal!

@Sam79 & Lara,

You both have very feminine faces and and if you two need FFS, then 75% of all Cis women do as well.

Thank you very much for your kind words and thank everyone else here.

Kind regards,

Lara

What can I say, there are no negatives, you pass go and collect $200 little doll face!

And she'd be full of it..

Silentone, if you're after honest opinion, maybe post photos that haven't had so much post processing on them? Also maybe a few angles might help?

She's just being jealous, I'd bet that you are the prettier of you two. It's a typical reaction from a sis who sees her brother is as pretty and feminine if not more so than she herself is. Kinda catty stuff don't you think? Don't let her negative comments deter you!

Double post  :o

So I got some pics up from a couple days ago. I will only be leaving them up for a few hours. I would love some feedback, and don't be nice. I need honesty not manners.

I do hate photos though, always have. I always end up looking dumb. Anyway I plan to get a haircut soonish, maybe something involving bangs or a side fringe. I will ask my hairdresser what she thinks. Wanna lose the giant forehead :P

PS I got maximum privacy lockdown on my image hosting site but I think that these links should work. Please let me know if they do not! No quoting thanks.

PPS If you left click the images they grow.

Personally, I think your hair is too straight, some body would help make your face look rounder. I rarely think anyone looks good with hair that straight. As for your face, hard to tell, an overhead light like that just seems to put so much of it in shadow and makes you look more gaunt than what you really are. If you are thin, and it appears you are, some weight would help round out your features a bit too. I've had the same issue and I looked far better in the face when I was about 15 pounds heavier than what I am now.

And smile!  I think it would look better than just standing being all stoical like.

Yea my hair just grows that way, I would love to have curly hair but I do not. The lighting does suck too but your right I am very thin, I have a really fast metabolism. I will try to eat more pies.
Also I try smiling for photos sometimes, it doesn't work very well. I only ever look good in a photo if I do not know I am being photographed D:

I will try a daylight photo sometimes though, I think it would look better. All the lights in this house are horrible.

I found the unedited pictures, but they are choppy due to lighting, which is why I edited them.

You look good! My perspective having spent almost three years in various Asian countries is that most petite young Asian types that aren't just plain butt ugly do quite well and have an excellent outcome when transitioning.

Smiling always helps!  Are you a natural strawberry-blonde?

Yep all I do to my hair is wash and blow dry it once or twice a week. Sometimes hairspray it back a bit so it stays out my face.
And FYI I am pre-everything except make-up.

I would really appreciate any more feedback or tips on what to improve or work on, since I am taking these pictures down in a few hours!
