"The problem with the world is that the intelligent are full of doubt while the stupid remain sure they're right"

I love this.

I could contribute by saying the world would be a better place if people pulled their heads out of their butts.
Another way of saying people should stop being ignorant and narrow-minded jerks. Sadly very common in Finland.

Kia Ora,

Re: The World Would Be A Better Place If.....

Meditation [in one form or other] was taught as part of the national curriculum in all schools...

Each person's main goal/purpose in life was to make 'other' people happy...

...kids in PE would just get with the program and realize that the class is for their own health. They need to stop half-assing the effort and realize that being fit is better than being fat.  :P

If we could figure out how to take all the food that gets wasted and tossed out and feed all the people in the world that are starving with it.

if everyone was vegan!

Kia Ora Princess,

::) As an ovo-lacto vegetarian [I don't drink milk but eat vegetarian cheese and occasionally free-range eggs], I have to say good answer...

Technically, that is true. If all of the land used to raise cattle were used for vegetation instead, we could feed the planet easily several times over.

I despise it when people waste food. Just the other day, I was at a restaurant and asked if I could take another table's plentiful leftovers home. More food for me!  ;D

I think it's one of the great tragedies of our age, that the only reason that any person starves on this whole planet is ...logistics. :(

Kia Ora Jen,

I believe it was Lao Tsu who said "A journey of a thousand miles-begins with the first step!"  Every little bit of kindness and compassion helps...

"Ones thoughts become ones words and ones words can become ones deeds!"

Added : "A Buddhist hands a twenty dollar note  to the vege burger  vendor and said "Make me one with everything!"  ;D  The vendor gives the Buddhist the vege burger. The Buddhist stands there waiting for the change. The vendor shakes her head and says, "Change must comes from within." ;)

Jokes aside,  the seeds to grow a better world, must begin to germinate within each 'individual'...

I go to bed hungry by choice since I don't like the feeling of food in my stomach when I go to sleep. Perhaps we can amend that to, "when not a single child would have to go to bed hungry without a choice, unless the kid did something bad as is being punished with a 'sent to bed without supper' kind of thing."  :)
