I would personally wait at least two years just because the changes were much less drastic after that for me.  Also, I had a setback where my levels got off, so my 3 years is probably more like 2 for those that don't have that happen.

I feel the same way about my shoulders. That's why I only go out to support groups in full femme mode, although the friends I just came out to are really pushing about me going shopping at the mall with them. I think they forgot how masculine my walk is. They have the attitude I need. The !@#$ them attitude.

Give it time I'm sure your going to make a beautiful woman. A year from now I bet your going to look incredible and your young to. I wish I had the courage to be myself when I was your age. The best advice I can give is to look at hormones  the same way I did when I lost weight. Its not what you look like today that matters its what you look like 6 months to a year from now is what really matters. Just keep your mind on the future and don't worry about today.

Thank you everyone who commented, it definitely seems like more of the changes happen later on than where I currently am where is definitely a relief. I really appreciate all of your feedback!

I would recommend waiting, if your avatar is anything to go by.  I got by fine with no FFS, and I was no picture pre HRT.  I noticed the biggest changes from 2 to 3 years.  If you're passing well now, why do you need FFS?

Well that's fair enough.  There's nothing like being desired.   A few cis girls I know have tiny 'adams apples' and no one would doubt their femininity.

I have FFS in my transition plans but not until after SRS, which itself is still a few years out. I've been told by many who are much further down the line than myself that patience is a virtue during transition. Give HRT time to work. Give yourself time to change your presentation, mannerisms, voice. Give yourself time to remove facial hair (which all by itself also causes minor facial structure changes in the skin).

That's very true.  These things take time.  Girls take years to turn into women.

If you've got time then it's best just to let nature take it's course and let the hormones do their work.  Looking back I could notice very subtle changes in my face even up to 5 years + on HRT.  After SRS there are still minor changes as your body doesn't have any T to fight against.
