Yes, I think so.

In my experience I think passing depends on who your trying to pass to. It much harder to pass amongst your own race than it is amonghts others. I am of indian decent and pass very well amongst other races but, I have a harder time among my one race. Take into consideration I had FFS. So if your trying to pass well i would say get the opinions of those of your own race/ ethnicity. I live in a community of my own race and I get read often. But, when I am amongst other races I pass very well.

I think you pass, if I saw you on the street, I would just think you were a cis gender female and wouldn't think twice on it.

Few things;
The photo is edited but not in anything that would change my passability.
I know i have yellow string in my hair lol.
I know the lips are a little out there/dark but hey thats the style I have (goth/alternative)

So I was playing around with the minimal amount of makeup I own (it was all clinigue too not even the really good stuff like MAC) and I took these pictures of my little primping session. Don't mention the pencil I applied to my eyebrows I know I got a little carried away. Getting gawdy feels good. I prob took a 100 pics on my phone of myself posing and making faces. Jeez I can be weird. I had so much fun though.  I should do it more often.  I think I'm close to being able to pass even with my short pixie haircut but I'm not sure.  I just colored it too today with a nice shade of deep brown from feiria. I keep it simple. My top is from Old navy and is super comfy. I'll start HRT in two weeks so that will liquify the few bulky muscles I have and soften my skin. God I can't wait. I'll also start to grow my hair then though I'm not sure how much it matters. But i want long hair. (and hopefully get rid of acne, estro does that I'm told). I'm hoping to pretty much be able to go stealth once I have the operation, probably in Thailand, and then live my life. It's only a couple years away and I'm still young. Well, here are the images. Let me know if you think I'd pass or any suggestions.. I think there is something subtle that maybe keeps me looking male, but not sure. Thanks so much :--)

Xhorrorglam: I think you do pass but then again it's kind of hard to tell from the picture. If I just go off that picture, I would say you pass well there, but you should add more pictures!

Joanna Dark: Well you haven't started hormones yet but your face seems to be pretty feminine to start so that's good. Definitely grow out your hair, that's what I am doing still, it's a pain and mine has been shaggy for a while. What matters right now is if you are having fun being yourself and confidence is so important when it comes to passing. I've had trouble myself with this, but I would suggest less eye liner, it looks like you have a lot, but I'm by no means an expert and I am still learning, just trying to help. I have no doubts that after a while on hormones you will pass Oh by the way, I must say you look really good in your avatar picture!!

Thanks so much for your reply Emma and your compliment on my avatar! Yeah i did overdo the eyeliner a bit. I got too carried away lol I think the hormones will do the trick to and eliminate any vestiges of masculinity. it can be very hard to judge your own photos However. So these forums are great. Oh yeah, I'm def growing my hair but I want to wait til I start the hormones since it is only a week or so away and the estrogen will make the hair thick and not oily so that is going to be awesome. I'm super excited.

Joanna Dark: Of course, I think you look really good in the avatar picture honestly. Yeah trust me, I've done it too with eyeliner, I still have no clue what I'm doing but that's what learning is about, making yourself look silly haha. Well congrats in advance on starting hormones, it's such a big step in transition and I think you will do great with hormones. I know exactly what you mean, I honestly have no clue if I pass or not, people have told me that I'm starting to so it's movement in the right direction. Don't be shy to PM some time if you feel like chatting

Xhorrorglam: Hmm, I think it's a really hard call but I'm just trying to be honest. I definitely think you have a ton of potential though, are you planning on taking hormones? If so, you shouldn't have any issue. I think you kind of pass in those 2 photos and kind of don't. I'm sorry if this doesn't help at all, but I think you're very close!

Thank you for your honesty. I do not plan on taking hormones, however there will be times I will want to pass. If you read my intro, youll understand a little bit better. Who knows I may get on hormones. Either that or learn better make up skills
