Wow, I'm all alone here. I still shave what little needs to be shaved. It has nothing to do with other people's opinions, I simply like how I look and feel shaved. I've gotten crap for it before, but I just ignore them as I shave the fuzziness off.

Yep. It's actually to help reduce body odor. People who sweat a lot like me would benefit from it. My father in law gave me and my husband the advice to shave our armpits during the summer to help cut back on stinking.

I shave my legs and pubic area too when they get unmanageable. It's a personal preference. I live in a really hot and humid environment and frankly I hate the way it feels to have sweat running down my furry legs. In the winter though it gives me a little bit of extra insulation. And the pubic area... It tends to get smelly both pre and on t so I shave there too.

Hmm, I didn't know that about body odor. I know quite a few of my female friends have stopped shaving their underarms recently and report that they don't seem as sweaty there, but I don't know how that would work.

It depends on the environment and much a person sweats. It isn't a universal thing.

Society claims men are hairy and women are not.

It is not so relevant what I think, but what is in the minds of the people I have to live with.

If tomorrow I won the lottery, I'd be getting laser and getting rid of it in more effective fashion.

I tend to shave daily, but that is because it takes only a day to announce it is there.

Hairy = male, and I won't have anything to do with that.

Fortunately I like long hot baths, and thus, the 5 minutes to run a razor over all but my back (I can't do what I can't reach or see after all), is not worth the fretting. It's just 5 minutes, and doing it daily, I have gotten to be quite efficient.

The real truth, is I have dark hair, and it grows aggressively.

I dont shave my pits or legs or downstairs at all even as before, i tired to before but it just dosnt feel right for me.

I used to shave my legs and snail trail when I was a teenager, but I don't do that any more.  I don't touch the proto-beard either.  I'm proud of my body hair.  But I do shave my pits so they stink less.

I've never shaved my legs/arms.  They honestly were never hairy enough to concern me as a female, and the transition into manhood hasn't changed that.  I do, however, periodically shave my underarms.  Maybe every 3 months or so when it gets to a certain point.  It just gets gross.  I like to be able to move my arms without feeling hair pulling. 

This is clearly an area where FTM WANT the hair and getting rid of it is clearly not the plan.

Male bodies tend to be fairly aggressively hairy.

I suppose lacking an ability to generate body hair must frustrate the FTM crowd. Nothing says 'I'm a guy stupid', like having facial hair.

You can walk into the men's room smelling of a beauty salon, a female looking hair do and wearing heels and a dress, but if you have facial hair, they are just going to be thinking, 'so ya lost the bet eh mac?'.

Meanwhile, having evidence of facial hair means if I walk into a ladies room, even if like the example above, the first cis female will likely get in a total snit. 'THIS is the laaaaadies room you know?' in an indignant voice.

The more hair I can get rid of in the morning bath, the closer I am to feeling like a woman.
