Hi all, went to a new medical centre to see if i could find a new doctor to finally let all this frustration and depression out about who Gayle really is, i found a female doctor who seemed to be very pleasant, i kind off checked her out and booked in to see her again a week later after some tests and i just let it all out to her, she was amazing and fully understood wished to support me as transsexual, in fact she is excited to have me as her patient having not had anyone like me before, have told her i cannot take this anymore and wish to transition, she has made arrangements for me to see a phsyciatrist to start my journey and get HRT asap, am now just waiting for Phsyciatrist to call with appointment,my Dr will be there to support me on my journey.
Have already told my daughter i am Transgender and will visit phsyciatrist, she was very supportive, she called me her hero OMG i fell into tears and we hugged.
Just wanted to tell someone about my excitement for the start of my long journey, i am so grateful to have all you sisters and brothers there when i may need support and a shoulder to cry on, i am living in small mining town near Townesville so have to go to Townesvile 8 hrs away to get help as poeple here would not understand and will be difficult with my position at work, need money for transition so will stay here another year and then move closer to city and work there and be near better support, so will be difficult but am looking forward to my first baby steps.

Hope i meet some of you wonderful people on my way sometime or at least make a few close friends.
Thanks for listening and bless you all

Gayle

Hi Gayle,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Congratulations on taking the biggest decision in your life. Admitting who you really are. That's massive. You've come to the right place for shoulders, there are plenty here.

You must be a seasoned traveller to do a 16 hour round trip, transitioning in a mining town as well. Is that Townsville in Northern Queensland or is it somewhere else?

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Welcome Gayle,

I think it is a reflection of the nice person that you are to have the lovely reaction from your daughter coming out to her and your female Doctor. This could well be the positive way it goes coming out to all the important people in your life. Hope it won't be too long before the psychiatrist and your Doctor have you started on HRT.

I am half way through the 3 month process of physical, blood tests, seen an Endocrinologist (don't need a psychiatrist/psychologist) story & medical history. One more appointment about program and any questions I have. End of April I should be started on hrt.

Perhaps we should be starting about the same time. All the best on your journey to becoming a Beautiful Sister. Hope we see pics along the way.
Hugs
Jamie

Angela???

G'Day Gayle,
sounds like another happy girl starting her journey to be a woman like myself!
I live in a small mining town in Tasmania, to make it a smaller town!
Our stories sound very simular from what I read.
You must be very happy with your daughter excepting you, cause I know I was with my 18 year old son that I told last week. He gave me a real big hug and told me he loved me, made me cry.
If you ever need someone to talk to just PM me, and I be glad to have a chat.

All the best with your transition.

Hugs

Angela
