I made brisket today. Found the smallest one at the store, and cooked it from 11:00 until 4:40 when I took the meat out and put in a big potato, sliced one inch thick. Ate at 5:00, all but four slices of the corned beef. The dog got those. Could someone lead me to the couch?

Why did I make it today? Easy, I have things to do tomorrow. Like sleep off a corned beef dinner. And drink water.

Corned beef is in the slower cooker on low.  Tomorrow after my boards, I will boil up the cabbage and enjoy.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Poor Devlyn.  She missed out on the best part of St. Patrick's Day ... the corned beef hash made from leftovers.   ;)

I never figured out how many briskets you need to cook to have leftovers, that stuff just disappears!

I still have two Reuben-cut briskets in the freezer, waiting to be freed!
