My girlfriend and I somehow contrived to propose to each other at more or less the same time over coffee in bed this morning, and both said yes. ;D ;D ;D ;D

It was actually last night, but I've been AFK since then.

My ex came over and had dinner with me and our kids for the first time in some months, after she'd asked me to stop trying to arrange family dinners.

I always knew that Ms O Brien was certifiable.
But today it became official... she is Certified. You go, CVT girl! O:-)

Giving my greasy ol' dog a bath in the backyard and getting more soap in my hair than in her fur. At least we're both clean and no one can call her Crisco anymore!
I did my waiting! Twelve years of it! In [my head!] Azkaban!

I took my all important VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam) today, and I passed it.

I am now officially a Certified Veterinary Technician by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

I just realized that it's been 5 days since I last shaved my face and I'm still smooth.

That's wonderful Janet, got anything lined up in that field?

Went to the barbershop today, for the second time ever.

Last time I went, everything seemed to go fine until right at the end when it was time to pay: the barber called me 'madam' and tried to charge me the ladies' price (£10) rather than the men's price (£8).

Today it was a different barber. Now I am pre-T and mine isn't the first head he's ever worked on in his life, so there's no fooling anyone about what's going on here. But I do dress male, I present as male (to the best of my ability) and I specified a men's haircut. At the end when it was time to pay he was clearly unsure about whether I was male or female and needed to find out so he could charge me the right amount.

Do you know how he phrased it?

"How much do you usually pay for your haircut?".

Isn't that a brilliant, sensitive, thoughtful way to ask whether I'm a guy or a girl? What a pro. :)

10/10 for that barbers tact (i'd have said I normally get my haircut for free  ;D)

A lot of things made me happy today: this "snow storm" caused school to be cancelled so I did a lot of exercising which always makes me happy (yay endorphines!  ;D ), slacking off on school work and watching a Peter O'Toole movie instead (Becket), my dog who's so nice to be around, and knowing that I am going to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight  ;D
