I am severely alektorophobic due to a most traumatic incident when I was small.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

I have no idear or concept of what being "alektorophobic" might entail.

It's when you are terrified of chickens....

I'm not alektorophobic, but I'm getting to be agoraphobic!  ;)

I'm back in Stockholm working on a major project.  It's quite chilly actually.  I already miss my Parisian life and my fiance. :(

QuoteI live beside a river.

As long as you don't live in a van down by the river, that's cool!  I did once. Live in a van down by the river. Don'r recommend it. Or living in your van in Denver during the winter either! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I wanted to be a nun as a child. I thought they had a good thing, being "on the inside" with God and all of that. Then I found out that my Goddess created their God, and I got over it.

I know.  I probably should.  I don't like to leave my cats alone though, especially at night.  Perhaps soon, who knows... :)

Wow, that is exactly what my best friend said to me just last week. She has a cat sitter if she is gone all day.

I am in love. I thought I was, now I know. The person is visiting from out of town next month. I haven't felt this well since she left. It's amazing how she makes me feel.

I lived with a girl-friend in a van between the sea and the marshes of Biguglia for over a year . Away from everything and everybody as nobody would go there because of the mosquitoes. We had a fire going all the time and kept burning Eucalyptus bark and leaves to smoke them away. We fished, hunted and gathered everything we hate. Free from all the pressure and crazyness of the world, it was a powerful healing time for both of us.

Where in the hell is Biguglia?

Warm is good, cold bad in a van. IT'S LIKE LIVING IN A REFRIGERATOR!

It is South of Bastia on the Thyrénean Coast of Corsica.

I had insulated the van against the heat as well as the cold with 25mm (1 inch) thickness of insulating foam sandwiched beetween 2 aluminium skins acting as heat reflectors and vapour barriers. Finally I made the internal surface covering from varnished 5mm pine strips clading for the walls, doors and ceiling, while the floor was woolen carpet laid over 20mm solid-wood floor planks.  Once we spend 48 hours in it, caught in a blizzard and freezing temperature, when snowbound in Andora (In the Pyrénées mountains between France and Spain). The heat of a parafine oil lamp and a couple of goats skins were enough to keep us warm and cosy until the snowploughs reopened the road down to the valley.
