Well, day 90 post op!!  Sitting is now ordinary, peeing is getting that way, and dilation is just a nuisance.  Under Dr. Bowers dilation schedule, I have 6 more days of 3X day, and then graduate to 2X for another 90 days.  Life seems to be moving along.  I don't really feel MORE like a woman, but I do feel something I will just say is "Me".  The newness of my anatomy is wearing off, and the laundry schedule has become routine.  I am more relaxed and more certain of my identity when I am dealing with people, its a matter of "hey bub, what you see is what is REAL!!"  I seem to have beeen lucky and my last three months pretty uneventful as far as what I look like and how I have healed within schedule.  I still have moments of wondering "what the hell did I do, was I crazy??" but they give way to a giggle fit that feels so good.  I have no more doubts about my body being ME now, and its looking fine as a future.  I did the right thing for ME.

I can sympathize with this... especially when I look at my bank account. WTF! And yeah... this all takes some time getting used to.

Congrats! Moiself has just past the 3 month marker, and I can totally relate to the 2x a day thing. In fact today is my first attempt at this reduced schedule, with my second dilation in about an hour's time. Praise the lord for he will make this work out smoothly!

On a side note, I am still having problem sitting for long (soft cushioned seats are the worst), battling with graduations and basically on the couch all day. Everyone's different, but I get the feeling that Suporn's work requires a longer (and perhaps more painful) healing period than many other surgeons. Is this true?

From what I know of Suporn, that's right. His generally takes longer.

Re Suporn -- That was a reason he refused me as a patient, because I have diabetes that slows things down even further.  I have kept it under control here in California which helped immensly.
