@Emily: Do you not pass in public? I find that rather hard to believe as I think you pass fine. Heck, with a lil makeup you'd be really pretty. That's the only thing I'd say. Also, you're shaped very womanly and I think this has more of an effect on passing then people realize. There really should be a "How's my body look" thread.

Could I pass (middle)? It's still early <6 mo HRT

Wow,  This photo would have been more appropriate for a thread called, "Guess which one is not a GG"! Honestly, I'd have picked the girl to your left as not being the GG although if I had just run across the photo somewhere else, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind that anyone in the photo wasn't a GG.

I don't think I pass.  I was out last week in public and I was clocked and had a very unpleasant experience so I have not been out since.  I am going to a hair stylist here soon that is suppose to be amazing in finding what style works for you so I am excited about that.  I defiantly need to work on my makeup though and a friend, hopefully, will be able to help me with that as well.  Most of the time I try makeup I look like a drag queen on meth.  LOL

So at seven weeks HRT I think I may be looking a little bit more feminine or a tad "like a girl." But I'm not sure so I decided to post here. I'm barley wearing makeup in these images either so yeah. That maybe would help but when I do wear it I feel like I look hideous. I'm obviously still a guy and have quite awhile to go but I was just wondering what some of you thinK of my long-term chances. Several people in the past have said I will make a horrible looking woman so it's really hard to get that thought out of my head. Please don't quote the images themselves as I will take them down.

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience last week people can be so horrible. I do think learning to do makeup properly will def help you and possibly getting a new hair style. I still think you pass though to be honest. You have a very femme body so that def helps. I hope things work out for you.

Hopefully when I get my hair and makeup down it will become easier for me to go out and successfully pass.  My friend who went with me the last time thinks it was my negative/nervous energy I was putting out that got my clocked? which I can see since I do have self-confidence issues so this is something that I need to work on as well.

You sure do pass, sister. Your shape, which you're hiding with the long baggy tops - totally works for you. Most people seem to 'guess' on body more than face, but if one is obviously 'wrong' for the other, it screams someone with a trans* experience. You don't have that problem at all. Makeup is all you need and you'll definitely stand out from the crowd in a good way :)

Completely honestly? I think it's early days yet to worry about passing, BUT give yourself a couple more months and you'll be surprised how your face kinda fills out where it's supposed to, and gets smaller where it should. It takes a while for most people but you'll start seeing differences. Your size is definitely a positive factor, you're obviously kinda svelt, so fat redistribution will do wonders on your frame, moreso than those of us who are larger. I absolutely think you'll pass just fine :D

Right now just concentrate on you, and in a couple of months you'll be totally shocked with the differences you see, and how you feel :)

Blush! - Most of the time since I am not full-time yet I have to wear really baggy shirts since my chest is getting pretty big from the HRT.  I also wear a breast binder to hold them back so it looks somewhat normal.  I hope to get some much needed makeup lessons from a friend of mine here soon so I am defiantly excited about that.

Personally, I don't think you will have a problem passing. You have some very androgynous features, but you already looked androgynous pre-HRT. I can see why you were 'mistaken' in the past for a woman.

Thanks to both of you. I feel a lot better. Sometimes I just think "damn I'll never pass" and feel like giving up. That thought is getting further and further from my mind though, so thanks so much again for your input.

Joanna - you are just a couple of months into it.  Very early to make judgements.  One thing you should count on, though, will be laser and/or electrolysis.
  •

I'm trying to get my first laser appt. next week!  :D It's one of the main things I need to take care of. Yeah I know seven weeks isn't really that many plus I just started taking a regular dose of spiro so I'm hoping that has some effect. It will at least help the E work better.

Don't give up girl. I had a head-start. I'm intersex and don't have natural testosterone. That doesn't mean I didn't have any tho, was taking shots since before puberty was supposed to set in till about 18 months ago. 4 months ago, a little longer than that I guess now, I started on estrogen instead. But don't let other people's experience on moanes be your guide. I think you have a great start FWIW and you're definitely on the right track with estrogen and an anti-androgen :)

Good luck with this, any step taken is one step closer to your goals.  I had laser to get rid of my dark hairs and now I am doing electrolysis (ouch!) so at first it can be difficult when starting out but know that it will all be worth it in the end.

... I'm not looking for affirmation, more a "what do I need to work on" kind thing, if you know what I mean.

I'd be happy to help with that, but  you'll need to post more visual material than that shot in with a group. A couple of full length shot and a couple of head shots from different angles, perhaps.
