12 years on T and suddenly have new changes?

Hey everyone. I've been on T for most of the past 12 years (had to stop a couple times for brief periods due to blood pressure becoming hard to keep down) and until about a year ago assumed all the hormone induced changes were done.

Within the first year I was equip with a full neck beard and full chin growth but never grew more than light colored fuzz up my jaw line. The mustache area was dark hair but very slow growing and thin, not like the chin and neck hair at all. I figured I was going to be one of those guys who just couldn't grow a beard. Well somewhere between 8-12 months ago I noticed stray dark hairs coming in in random patches on my cheeks and up my jawline. I thought it was weird and shrugged it off.

As the months have passed the left side of my face has filled in a great deal with only a couple small thin areas where hair isn't growing in well yet.  The right side of my face is a ways behind the left but it is definitely getting there too.

Nothing has changed. My dosage is the same, my injection schedule is the same. Not sure why this has happened. I'm not complaining but have been surprised by it happening this far in. I shaved my entire face this evening, I'm curious to see if it's growing at close to the same rate as my normal areas of facial hair.

Anyone else experience anything similar many years after being on T? Any thoughts on why this is happening now instead of within the first 5 years or so? I haven't been under the care of an Endocrinologist since around the 3 yr mark as my primary care doctor has kept up with labs and prescriptions since. I'm thinking an endo would have a better idea of why this happened than my primary care who says he's not sure.

All guys get hairier the longer they live. You're running on testosterone so it's only natural that your body is experiencing these changes. For some reason a lot of people seem to believe "all your changes happen within 5 years" and that is a load of crap. People age, and hormones augment the process. You're never done changing until you die. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Not concerned at all, just really curious. And I realize guys get more hairy in general as they age but I hadn't considered the possibility of going from limited facial hair growth for 11.5 years to being nearly capable of growing a full beard 12 years after starting T. That's not something I've heard about before.

I'm quite certain that all changes are not complete within the first 5 years and that many things will evolve as the years go by with a testosterone dominant system, but again I just haven't heard of significant changes occurring this many years into Testosterone treatment.

This post is more of an inquiry to see if it's something others experience and their thoughts on why it happens way later than the more common guy on T whos facial hair pattern is well established with the first 5 years or so on T.

you are going through the second round of masculinization, there are two more on the way
one around 35-40 and the next one around 50-55
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I've had the same thing happen after 9 years on T.  Within the past 6 months my beard has gotten really thick.  I swear every time I shave that within 5 minutes I need to shave again.  I've also noticed the same with more chest hair growing in.

wheat thins are delicious

It takes some cis males years and years to be able to grow decent facial hair, so I'm not surprised.
