:o You guys all look so amazing! I wish my face was that masculine!

Anyway, this is me 'all natural', before T or anything;

And here with some editing and giving myself a beard and thicker eyebrows. No changing in face shape.

And here playing a bit with filters :3

I just wish I had a beard like that IRL :(

Erik you rock with the beard  ;D but you pass without it anyway.

Really? I pass without it? (probably not my age, but it's a start) That really made me smile, Jared :) I'm still quite insecure about my looks and pass-ability.

Yeah, for about 16? I used to see guys with that style and what I can see from your appearence it says male to me.

You look really cool, Erik. I think for me, whether or not you passed would come down to your voice.
  •

DriftingCrow

yeah Erik, from the picture you pass as a teenager to me, about 15 or 16. Though, you'd look awesome with a goatee.

Good point there, Prof HB, I think my voice doesn't quite pass, unfortunately. I think it's on the low/mid range for a girl, but really high for a guy :(

And now comes actually another question... how do I even KNOW if I'm passing or not? People don't say "Hey boy/girl (...)" to me when I'm out on the streets, and all the people who know me obviously know I'm physically a girl.
Sometimes I wish I could look in people's minds...

Strangers are the best...I only know I am passing now because I get "sirs" from cashiers instead of "ma'am." Or guys calling you "man" who don't seem to be the type to call everyone that. I don't know what everyone sees, but since almost everyone says sir now, I figure most people see male.

Yeah cashiers are a big clue but also double takes. If you're waiting somewhere or on a bus/train, if people mostly ignore you, you likely pass. If they look then do a double take, it can suggest they see something odd. Might not always be the case for you though, your awesome hair might cause that alone! Lol. Some things do that anyway. I've seen a few double takes at my socks when I'm wearing my Marvel socks and even double takes at my Sheldon (Big Bang Theory) style Green Lantern shirt. So sometimes the double take might be for other reasons but it's one thing I look for. If the double take is followed by them trying to subtly stare, they're probably trying to figure out what you are. Don't get too paranoid though, some people are just freaks...or they may actually fancy you! Haha! If guys take an interest in looking at you, it can be another sign. Guys are mostly oblivious and don't take in surroundings so much, women check everything out more. If a guy keeps looking at you, that could be another hint because it's not as normal for guys but then, maybe he's gay! These are all just maybes, nothing definitive. The best and definitive passes are cashiers, bus drivers, people asking you for time, barbers, etc.

I make serious faces in pics cos I really feel like I have a girly smile... can't tell if dysphoria or yes and I should keep a straight face...

Had to do a bit of a double-take reading your post. I assure you, it's dysphoria. I'd be overjoyed if I looked anywhere near as manly as that.

+1 I agree, it's definitely dysphoria, he looks very manly to me and a nice smile beats the hell out of a grumpy looking straight face or a frown any day and is always disarmingly charming.

Whoa Ryan, that tripped me out for a bit because you look exactly like a dude from my work. He's the epitome of an alpha male and you two look exactly alike... so if I were you I'd have no qualms smiling ;)

Thank you guys and girls...

It's funny isn't it how sometimes you think you've come a long way, and then you look in the mirror at other times and feel insecure/worried. When probably nothing has changed.

But so many understanding and kind people on here is a great support :)

Ryan, I assure you too that you pass just fine! :) You look like an awesome guy, and I would NEVER have thought you were trans if I spotted you on the street. Just sayin'.
And your smile isn't girly at all, just friendly, nice and contagious (I'm smiling myself now too, just from seeing your happy face :P)

But yeah, I have it too! I feel like I pass better when not smiling. It's all in my head, lol!

Because I hit my 5 month mark on T today. ;D

WHO ARE YOU CALLING A CAFFEINE ADDICT?

Wow, looks like spending just one hour in sunlight tanned my arm a bit!
And baseball cap because my hair is awful.

@ryanronald
Holy S***, you look masculine as f***!!!
And SEXY msculine, too! ;P Holla! Lol

Man, looking at y'all's pictures makes me so mad at myself for further feminizing myself rather than starting on HRT. Because of my PCOS, I already experience almost no estrogen or progesterone and EXTREMELY high T (I have to take the same amount if not higher amounts of anti-androgens to get the same effect as genetic males trying to trans). My face is very androgynous, and I have thin, pale mustache and beard hairs already. I feel like if I had gone the other way with hormones, I could have become very masculine and sexy... =____=

Going from Female to Male is pretty well doable, so stop feeling bad about the past (you can't change it anyway).
When you get on T you would probably still have the same changes as other transmen. And I'm sure you'll still turn out a good looking guy. Amazingly enough most transguys end up pretty hot actually, lol.
