@Zoe,

Thanks! I like my cheekbones and my eyes. Everything else I hate :(. What do you mean by build issues? Like body build? Cuz I've heard that a good test for seeing if you have a large or small build is wrapping your longest finger and your thumb around your wrist. If they don't touch you are large, if they touch at the tips you are medium, and if they overlap you are small. My thumb gets to the first bend on my middle finger (and overlaps at least slightly with all the rest).

You've got good lips and much much more. Trust me, at the end of your transition, you're going to look stunning..

Okay so here's a photo of me. I am on day 19 of HRT and hardly even presenting PART time yet. The only unambigous physical effect I've noticed so far is that my nipples are really sensitive to the touch and I sometimes experience a stabbing pain if I apply pressure to them (particularly lefty). So I have a looong way to go yet.

Anywhoozle, here's a picture of me taken last night. That kinky hairstyle is the best she could do with the length I've got. I am not wearing any makeup.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/90025789@N05/

Bear in mind this photo is rather posed and it took me a couple tries to get it to where I liked it and the lighting was good and the stars were aligned with venus, etc, etc, to the point where even though I thoroughly despise how I look in it it doesn't make me feel like I have to choke back tears of frustration. But I took a video and I looked pretty much the same (except for on my right side I HATE my right side). Where are my biggest flaws. Eyebrows? They'll need waxed fo sho. What else? How well or how not well do you think I will pass with this as my starting postion.

P.S.

I'm 6ft (too frickin taaall), 132 lbs (give or take, I know it's skinny but I am trying to gain weight and up from a week ago) and of Italian descent (hence the nose).

Lol, you already look like a girl. I don't lie :)

When I saw your picture I immediately thought of Emma Roberts

You'll probably end up looking very similar to her after a while.

Thanks everyone for your responses last time I posted. Sorry if I was a little bitchy, it happens sometimes. =/

I do know all too well about my large brow line though, so I did buy a beanie to use before I get a haircut with bangs. So do how do I pass with it?

Thank you Nicolette and Kyh!! OMG, Emma Roberts. That is very flattering (too much so cuz she's a million times prettier than me).

I wish I could see what you're seeing here. I don't think I look horrible but everytime I look at this photo I just see all the things I hate about myself. That's prolly anyone I guess. Your kind words help though and they give me a lil glimmer of hope, something I cling to every chance I can get it (not all the time). Some days the mirror triggers dysphoria so bad that I just lay on the bed and don't want to do anything.

Anyway I've got a long road ahead and we will see where it takes me!

If you know how to use makeup, you can make yourself really beautiful and look 100% cis. You've got the face for it, definitely.

Honestly, you look like a girl!

My biggest advice for you, learn to use makeup extremely well (then you'll be absolutely stunning, as you've already got the good fortune of appearing naturally female) and get a good wig, or better yet, when your hair becomes long enough to braid, get a weave. Then wear female clothes and work on your voice and I bet you'll get lots of positive attention from guys (or girls if you like them!).

Lololol, no it would be guys. And I actually have worked on my voice. In fact, I work on it constantly with a sound recorder. I think it's okayish and some days I quite like it. Some days I hear it and it sounds JUST like my mom it's not even funny. I always get ma'med on the phone, too (but that happened before I even started working on it). I'll post a recording one day (when I get over this mf'ing cold) and get some opinions from you guys.

Also, are wigs necessary? I kinda hate them. I mean, I'll get one if it helps me pass...Where would I buy it from?

Lastly, imma get my sisters girlfriend (yeh, I got lucky by having a gay sister) to help me with the makeup end....

Yeah, if I had a sister I'd hate her (cause she'd be more beautiful than me), but it'd be a little better if she was a lesbian. Less of a feeling of competition :P

OMG, yes. I have 3 sisters, so derp. It's not so bad with the lezzie cuz she sort of shoots for the androgyny look but she says she's going to go more femme, so we will see (grrh), lol. But my older sister is like the absolute picture of human femininity and yeah. I've always been supa jelly of her, for as long as I can remember.

Yeah I'm so happy my only sibling is a boy! Hahahaha xD if I had a sister who was near my age and pretty, I'd probably be jealous and upset all the time and want to rip out all of her hair.

At least your really pretty and feminine sister is older than you right? It'd suck even more if she was your age or younger hahaha xD

She's like 10 years older than me. So, hey, at least she'll be getting old soon ;) Her and the lesbian are both older and there is one that is younger. The younger one is 11 actually and is already very cute, so grrhh! That's going to be annOYing, lol.

I also have 3 brothers, but I am not really close to them (except one). But me and my sisters are tight.

Hmm... I tend to oscillate between thinking I look like my nearest-in-age sister, and like my cousin.

My current avatar is a dead ringer for my sister. (One of three, and my sisters are 3/7 of my siblings, so there ya go) When I smile, I look like my paternal cousin. I think I may be the closest thing my family has to a perfect blend of our parents, actually. Not that Mom and Dad are going to be particularly happy with that realization. v_v
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

No makeup, just turned the camera around and snapped a picture.  Feeling quite dysphoric today

No need to feel dysphoric sweetie, I know that you have a nice petite body that's a big +, then you seem to have nice skin sans makeup another +. You have a cute little mouth and lips another + and small feminine looking jawline that shouldn't need any work yet another + You seem to have a nice head of hair which is a + over what many of us have for hair thiygh you might get help eventually coming up with a style that suits the shape of your face and diminish the height of your exposed forehead. You'll need to have a little FFS for brow bossing and nose. Lots of plusses and very few minuses there doll!

I agree w/ Shantel's list of +'s, but especially about finding a more suited way to do your hair... It's not so much that your hairline is too tall though, I don't think that's an issue. The issue I see with your hair is that most girls part hair over on the side (not so close to down the middle). I'd be interested to see what it would look like. You can also use it as a way to highlight your eyes rather than hiding them, and at the same time downplaying any brow bossing. Also, girl, you gotta get outta that lighting! Anyone would feel dysphoric with those nasty fluorescents! Sometimes I'll refuse to go into rooms with those kinda lights... No joke, I'm not kidding at all!

Anyway maybe you could try something more sideswept? I'd love to see a pic of that :) PM me if you do take a pic and don't feel like posting it here.

Stefani, you already have an androgynous presentation.  To tell you the truth, even your brows are not a "tell."  I think you will be fine.  Give the girl juice time to work.

The "pain" likely means you are starting to form glandular tissue.  Lucky girl.  :)

100% better with a "non-toxic" smile.  And so cute too.

So I thought I'd post some totally non photo shopped images. I wanted to be blond so sue me. And I touch up my flaws. I don't think I pass without photoshop, as you will obviously be able to tell:

And the only reason I think I pass is because of my boobs which are completely 100 percent me:

So now ya know exactly what I look like with no photoshop. I ain't pretty and I look at best andro.

As always don't quote. I will be removing these and not posting images again for a long time. Hopefully HRT will negate FFS.

Joanna,
You and I are birds of a feather kid, so try not to be so sensitive about the real you. I'm not going to sue, perhaps you should sue me for pressuring you to quit photoshopping. You have loads of female features and perhaps you could use a little FFS eventually. Try not to be so harsh on yourself though sweetie, you are indeed a woman and not all women are drop dead beautiful. You have a woman's body, and are really petite, there's two +'s right there. Nice slender little neck and smallish head unlike myself and many more of us, that's 2 more +'s right there. Nice thick head of hair with obvious body unlike me and a lot of others, another +. OK your chin and nose are a little pointy probably an inherited genetic trait and your skin could benefit from a chemical peel and resurfacing by a dermatologist, but it's not anything that will keep you from being a success as a woman. You have pretty eyes and nice eyebrows +, I have to pencil my eyebrows, they suck! You have nice boobs, you have no idea how many can't get home grown boobs and would love to, there's yet another +. I like the girl I am seeing there, you will have to become friends with her honey. As for me I like her just fine!

I think you looked better without the beanie. While wearing a beanie I don't think you should push it down so far, and not push back your hair though?
Just wait for your haircut, with pretty long bangs I guess...

Lots of girls wear beanies farther back on the head, with the front a bit behind the hairline, and the back folded into itself to make it shorter and "puffier".  That way, you get to show off some cute bangs along with a fun accessory :p

Edit: Google search "neff beanies for girls" and I think you'll see what I mean.
  •

A

Isn't that the description of a beret? Also, it makes the beanie pointless not to wear it in a way it hides things. I think if you're gonna use it that way you'd better get a beret.

Joanna Dark: I think the only reasons you could NOT pass are your facial hair and skin problems. Though the latter does happen to girls too, it's uncommon to see it not covered with make-up, however unhealthy it might be.
