So, I get up late. I wander through the lounge, still not quite on this planet. My wife is watching some old film which is just ending.

Half asleep, I notice a few names in the credits I recognise.

Suddenly, my wife starts relaying one 'good bit', where something 'really funny happened'.

It went a bit like this: '<chuckles> the really tall one, < more chuckles> he was talking to the angry woman, well not talking, because she was shouting, she was married to the other man's friend but came because the other man was there. And the body, it was in the woman's bed <more chuckles>..........'.

I have no idea what is going on or why she's even telling me this.

Suddenly, she stops. 'Oh, sorry, I'm boring you. Really sorry, I didn't mean to bore you.

We've been together 30 years, 4 months, 26 days, 11 hours and 26 minutes. Where did she get the idea that she bores me? After 30 years, 4 months, 11 hours and 26 minutes, you'd think she would have finally figured that I'm here because she is the most intriguing, interesting, astonishing, fascinating, maddening, annoying, powerful, needy, crazy human I've ever known.

Aghhhhh

It's called love my sister.

It's love.

You are both blessed.

After some 30 plus together one way or another I learned my wife can say, better yet, proclaim, some to the most off-the-wall things about me and our relationship.

At those times I silently recite "The Man's Prayer"... OK Sometimes it is out loud when appropiate and I have a clear running advantage  ;D

30 years and still in love!! That's awesome  8)

I've been married almost as long as you have and I still find new, wonderful dimensions in her that I never noticed before, and apparently she still finds them in me also as evidenced by an occasional dry, funny comment, so I know what you are saying.
