I read another thing that referred to Pikachu as a mouse. Hey, Pokemon fans, why is Pikachu a mouse and not a pika?

I'd move to Canada.

I have often thought about traveling abroad, or is that as a broad? Either one works for me  >:-)

Oh ok. that makes sense. I still think it would be cool if he was a pika though.

I would probably move there too.  Either there or Australia and deem myself as a refugee.   :D

Why is it that every time someone misgenders me or uses my birth name, I shut down instead of being able to correct them? I can do it just fine with strangers but it took a monumental effort to get there. After complimenting the diction of the choral singers to their teacher, she singled me out to say that I complimented them, of course they needed to announce that it was me, *birth name the girl*, who had given this feedback and point to me so every one of those 130 kids looked at me. Me! It was as if there were a white-hot spotlight fixated upon me, and I turned crimson red while doing my best to try and disappear into nothingness. Didn't work too well.

This is something [not just trans related issues, but everything in life] that'll get easier with age, IMO. You just need to start practicing being confident, start correcting people, learning to say no, and so on; once you get in the hang of it, over the years it'll slowly start to become more natural and you'll feel more confident. While I am not the best at asserting myself, I've gotten a lot better as I've gotten older.  :)

It just seems specific to being trans for me, I have a hard time speaking up at points but when it comes to this it becomes impossible for me to do anything but whisper something and fight back tears. I don't like that, it's not a fun feeling. Plus it won't stop unless I do something about it, but I just can't...maybe it has to do with fear of rejection or my mother not taking kindly to it? I don't know but I really wish people could read my thoughts and know what it does to me on a daily basis  :(

Because it's hard to basically argue your very being with others. Sometimes it's easier to just let things go.

I've always contemplated who that person is and what they mean to me before I even bother. If it's someone I'm never going to see again I couldn't care less what they say/think. If it's someone I am going to share air with often then I try my best to go about it in a positive non confrontational manner.

Funny thing is I hadn't been misgendered in years. Then when I started T I got clocked a few times in public. The irony killed me, lol.

I'm thinking I'm glad I just started a Facebook page just for my Trans stuff. Anyone can feel free to add me. Link is under my profile pic.  :)

I have, at the very least, another year and some to contend with these people. Knowing how my life works I'll run into them again.
Of course, my grandmother had to send me an e-mail too with my birth name and a bunch of female pronouns (because talking to someone in the second person isn't good enough, apparently) because she's trying to make me feel guilty about not wanting to talk to her after some things that happened. My dad was staying over there for a while and according to my mother he told her about me, which just makes this all the more infuriating than it would be with the proper name and pronouns or if I thought she had no clue.

Wondering what it takes to change name and "gender" in the school database so I can take pressure off of myself.

Oh don't mind me, I'm nearly always having issues  :P
Tends to come with being closeted to school staff and students know me but don't know my name, out to most friends, and stealth to others who met me after I started some botched form of socially transitioning.

Like in my science class, all the kids who didn't know were all saying that and how they would call me Max now. Did they all forget today? You bet! Did I muster up the courage to say anything at all back to them? Nope!

Something prevents me from doing it so I just go off and cry in the corner by myself, making sure no one can see me lest they think of me as even less "like a guy" for displaying an emotional response after all that.

Adam (birkin)

My little brother bribed me...he said if I did something for him, he'd give my bedroom and bathroom a thorough cleaning while I am in Indiana. And then when I agreed, he said "good, I've been wanting to clean this place for a long time..." You know it's bad WHEN...

In other news, have I mentioned that I am seeing Keaira today? I leave for the airport in about an hour or so...should be in Indiana in less than 12 hours all in all. I feel SICK with the butterflies. But it's going to hit me the worst when I leave "arrivals" and have to go find her. I'll be crapping a brick and I might throw up.

But then I will see her and walk up to her ever so awkwardly, give an even more awkward hello, a big hug, and then all will be fine lmao. But it'll be so weird to actually touch her.
