Hehe, thanks! Yeah, I'm at a point in my life where this is the perfect time to transition. I have some saved funds, I'm living in the right area for it, and I have a job where my trans status is a non issue. No way I'm going to let these opportunities pass me by.

Top surgery though...that one is gonna have to wait until I have enough vacation days (and a little more money). Which won't be...well, for a while. Maybe next year, if I'm lucky.

I saw a girl today while on the train that i could actually imagine myself as (i notice a pattern: adult, not all that young or girly, serious)

I attended a meeting with the people who run the hostel where i'm staying, after the meeting I was chatting with one of the people from the London branch & discussed some of the problems i've faced due to being trans & in a hostel, I didn't give the conversation much thought until one of the support workers approached me today with this news.

The group who run the hostel will have a stand at London Pride this year & they want me to attend, they are willing to pay for travel expenses so I can meet their LGBT team to begin looking at setting up a trans support group for my home town, they have already offered a venue & meeting their team is the next step to getting things set up.
I've also been told that this could eventually lead to me getting job with this organisation, yay!!!!

It's amazing what can come out of an innocent conversation. 

Two things are making me happy right now.......
First, I painted my nails earlier for the first time. I need a little practice but the result was really nice. I'm looking forward to experimenting with different colours. It was good fun though. Its funny how little things can make you feel nice.

Second, we are driving to Shannon Airport tonight and flying to Boston in the morning to have a holiday with our son. I'm really looking forward to seeing him.

Hearing about the change in Social Security that will let me change my gender in my records without GRS and that the SS card no  laonger has the gender marker on it

Oh how much better it is than guy shopping which I have always hated.

A few things, got my hair colored(post pics later), got myself my first hair straightener, The complete young ones series collection dvd(blame my best friend), also got myself some tweezers so hopefully eyebrows will get improved soon, bought a round spiky hair brush and a few other things. Guess I pampered myself a bit XD

I actually got four hours of sleep, that is massive, four hours in one night! this makes 28 hours in 6 months now

I'm finally where I want to be with my current job. I work at a place that services cars (oil changes, tires, etc) and I haven't been able to be an actual technician due to no openings. They finally bumped me back up to tech today. Now I get to work in the scalding heat again! I'm so excited.   

I got a nice deal on a new pair of sparkly danglers (earrings)
