Eddie, you are at a good starting point.  I suggest you get with a therapist and consider T-blockers as soon as possible.

So I finally got around to taking a photo. Sorry for the horrible quality. I know there is a lot of work to do, but do you think I will have a chance of passing? I am nervous about it as I am already nearing 32 and I am not sure how much of a change I can expect once I start HRT. I am 5'7"-ish, 130lb. The hair came in a box as mine is in a pretty desperate in-between state

I love the hair/wig, looks really cute! Yup I definitely think you will HRT should help shape the bottom jaw - not the bone, the fat - and it will soften up your skin, and I think you'll totally pass well. I really think you're close as is.

The wig... to be honest I don't remember. I went on a bit of a shopping spree yesterday and picked it up becuase it was on sale and I thought it looked nice:). I do know it was French, but I suppose that doesn't help. I will check the brand when I get home tonight.

I am in my 30s and changing just fine. In fact I started passing at 73 days on HRT. That seems like awhile ago.

Danigrl, I saw that photo of you as your avatar a few days ago, and I was like "oh my, she's so pretty".  The larger version is wonderful - and you're sooooooooo pretty and look so happy!

If you don't mind me asking, how did your daughter take your decision to transition?  I'm in the same boat, and I have no idea how mine will react.  PM me if you like.

You look really nice right now, and that style of hair really suits you. HRT will only improve things, and at 5'7" and 130lbs, you've got a good frame to start working with.  I'm around 40, so you're just a baby still!

Yes I have.  The book is still in print, on Amazon, I believe for about $10.

"Just Evelyn" is now retired.  She was an electrologist in the San Diego area, as I recall.

I believe the link at Univ of Mich is just the first 5 chapters

Just checked it. The brand is camaflex. It was pretty inexpensive on sale, but I dont know what they normally retail for.

Suffice it to say that you can do whatever you set your heart to Amber, so don't be so down on yourself that you stifle your own creativity.

Homely? Non-sense. I think you'd do just fine. You are lucky because many of us have to be HRT for a few months before we look as nice as you do in that last picture. Plus, don't let looks be the impetus for transition, instead focus on the happiness it will bring you becoming yourself

By the way, yes you look very nice as a guy
