Wow, 42 pages is a lot to go through.   All the ladies on here are so pretty.  In my wildest dreams I don't think I could pass as well as any of you.  I get so depressed when I make myself up and I look in the mirror and I just see a man playing dressup.  It's so discouraging.  Nevertheless I thought I put up a picture of the only feminine part of me, my hands.

I have a pretty huge obsession with having pretty hands.

OMG I WANT!!! NOW!!! lol did you do that yourself? I really want to learn how, I'm so about my nails looking pretty!! Unfortunately, this is my face usually every time I sit down and start doing my nails  :icon_blah:

Sorry Shantel, can't really see you in the shadows.

There's a good reason for that hon, I don't want to startle you or crack any monitor screens.

It was really pretty easy.  The base coat is "Play the Peonies" by OPI.  Then I just used a toothpick that I trimmed one side flat to make a tool for the polka dots ( which are "Raisin the Bar" by Sally Hansen).  I think any whitish pink and metallic red would work though.  They also make dotting tools if you don't want a do-it-yourself version.

Just so you know, there are like a zillion blogs out their that are dedicated to teaching people how to make pretty nails.
If I want to look like a girl, I need to eat like one.

Young lady, you should look in the 'Before and After' photos so you can see what's possible through hormones, time, makeup, and sometimes FFS and weight loss. You'll really get an idea of how pretty you can be. We've all come from different places and ages, and all we want to do is to look female or androgynous and above all, be happy and content in our own skin. There are thousands of girls/women who came from the same mindset as you, just hoping to find peace, and you'll see it in so many different postings that they have. If you take the same time and effort with makeup that you have with your nails, you won't believe the results. Have faith, hon. Hugs, Miranda

Facially, you look like this really cute girl I know from highschool. However, with what you are wearing I would probably tend to gender you male in your photo. I go back and forth with your expression (whether it helps or not). It's kind of pouty and feminine, but maybe it would be better to see your smile?

Either way, you have a very cute face. And from that angle, you look nearly identical to one of my cis female friends from HS.

Anyway, I hope that helps. There's my opinion :D

Is my collar bone too pronounced to wear shirts cut like this? I hate that it sticks out so much and I'm not even thin. I feel like so much women's clothing has that whole area visible and I don't know if it's something that could clock me:

Collar bone?

I've never heard of ANYONE gendering someone based on a collar bone.

If you're half as feminine as that picture, nobody will ever see you as anything but a very attractive young woman.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Thanks...I just can get really dysphoric about dumb things sometimes I guess. It's so easy for me to feel like I look male and I try to pick out little things that could possibly keep me back from passing.

I really don't think I look that feminine in that picture (apart from the hair length and makeup) even though over the last few months all the pictures I've posted on here and ->-bleeped-<- and such have had positive comments. It's just so easy to see the old, male me when I look in the mirror or look at pictures. I can sometimes see the new me and I feel great but then I nitpick and focus on all things masculine and just get depressed and back to thinking that I won't pass.

Anyway thanks for the comments. Hopefully as time goes on I'll start seeing less of the old me.

No not at all Abby. Most cis females that are weight to height proportionate have collar bones that show although most guys don't. So don't waste any time fussing about your collar bones, you look beautiful and if you'll excuse me I will revert back to something I would have previously said as a man: Sheesh you women get worked up over the silliest things!"  ;D :D You look great sweetie!

Abby, I think that happens to all of us at one time or another.  It goes with the territory.

That's why you should put your disbelief away for a while, and listen to what your sisters and brothers here are telling you.

Actually, from my experience, I think prominent collar bones are actually a very feminine feature. Guys' are actually hidden a bit more because of the higher muscle mass in the shoulder and chest area.

Thanks for the encouragement.  I have seen some truly miraculous transformations.  I don't think I'll ever be able to fully transform.  I have too much at stake, so I still need to keep pretending I'm a guy during my normal life.  I would like to be able to look more androgynous.  I have been able to use the acceptance of my femininity as a motivation to finally loose a lot of the extra pounds I have.  I'm down 50 lbs since August (another 30-40 to go), and I have gotten in much better shape.  I keep telling myself that when I reach my goal weight, I'll be able to wear a dress and actually look good in it.
