This is depressing, I still see around 50% left of the original size left. A friend told me hers after 6 months is still 'quite' there. I see mine a bit frontally but on side view is still very prominent but when I touch it I don't really feel it that much as before, strange. My friend told me that other girls even went up to 3 times to scrape it off completely.

Is there a definite remedy about this? I'm so depressed.  ???

Don't be afraid. I can tell you from experience that having a little bump there is a-ok. What is really important is the angle of the point of it. Females have a 120 degree obtuse angle for the stick out point of the thyroid cartilage, and males have a sharp 90 degree angle.

As long as the surgeon smooths it out to 120 degrees you are fine. Plenty of women have visible bumps from the thyroid cartilage on their throats... Especially the skinny ones. I'm guessing you are most likely skinny.

It's okay = perfectly normal!

It's better to have a round little hump there than lose your voice if they take off too much! As long as it's smooth and round it doesn't matter at all. I had the same fear right after my trach shave but now it is a non issue. I never think about it... ever. I used to think I would get clocked from it, but it has never happened once.

Yeah keloids still around for a while until the heel up. Normally within 18 months or so it does heel up

I am not sure if yours is more prominent, but as a side point, all women and men have an adam's apple! It's just that men's are generally (and I mean that) more prominent, but not always. Likewise, women's adam's apples (or 'eve's oranges') tend to be less prominent generally, but not always.

I hope things feel better for you, hun.
