So one of my old binders has kind of a damp smell to it that I can't seem to wash out. It is made from bathing suit material so I guess it is kind of porous and may just need to be thrown out. I like to have this one spare to work out in but I'm worried the smell will be noticeable.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the smell?

Maybe add a little baking soda in when you wash them?

This is going to sound like you are washing your binder twice but is the only thing I know that works.

First clean it in a mild dish soap and water. Rinse well.

Then soak in a half cup vinegar to a gallon or so of warm water. Soak for an hour or 3.

Then wash in mild laundry soap in a regular small load of similar laundry. Air dry, preferably outdoors. Make sure it is completely dry. Store until needed.

Hope it helps.
