I've tried hrt for a while. I really liked the physical changes. I like what I see in the mirror. I don't have to think about sex or feminization fantasy all the time anymore.

The thing that I don't like are I somehow I become less productive, less competitive in life. I lost motivation to do anything much
No energy, get tired quickly.
Sex drive is low as well, less interested in having relationship with anyone.
Lack of testosterone probably have something to do with these problem.

If I stop hrt everything reverse.
I hate to have to choose between hrt or not hrt. Is there solution ?

You sure its not just the short term effects of HRT? I hear it can be like a sort of second puberty. Remember lack of motivation as a teen?
Farewell to my friends, farewell to the life I knew. I burn what once was, and in the ashes I am born anew.

Perhaps there is a solution in the middle - have you talked about the effects with your doctor? It's possible they could adjust your dosage (not discussing the actual dosage here, but do ask your doctor).

The other suggestion I had was - how is your diet? That can have a big impact on energy levels. Eating healthy could do wonders for so many things about transitioning - energy, clear skin, keeps your liver healthy etc etc.

Not short term,  about a year already. Dose is already at the minimum that still can have feminization effect.  My diet is healthy. I don't think its diet because if I stop hrt all those negative reverse.

It seems like although I have positive effect from hrt but I also have the same negative effect as if cis male were put in mtf regimen.

I have been on HRT since Dec 1999. For me it came and gone depending on what my T level was. It comes down to time to come up with a balance that works for you. Everyone reacts to HRT in different levels. Also for me after my GCS my T level dropped fast and that made me way more tired then i used to be. For me i added B vitamans daily and they seemed to help. The energy drop is from the T for sure.

I think you kinda answered your own question here. Contrary to popular misconception HRT is not a magic pill. It is a tool that is used to help one deal with there everyday gender dysphoria. Anything you do is to make yourself happy, if something works great, if it does not then maybe was a bad idea and try somting different or just stop. Everything has its positives and negitives, this path you are on is full of forks in the path, some are easy and most are hard. You need to look inside you and really understand what you want. The world and gender contrary to social misconception is not cookie cutter. Everyone is there own and needs to stand back and look at themselves and do whats right and not do what is wrong for them.

I live my life as looking at the world as not black or white but 50 shades of gray. and somewhere in there i belong. I will never be 100% female no matter what i try but i am female and comfortable. Hang in there, take everything one day at a time and for your happiness. Life is all good no matter what the naysayers say.

Sounds to me like the usual effects of lower T which is the usual consequence of taking E.

Yes but will these feelings the OP is experiencing be permanent? Is that the price to pay for taking E? Being tired all the time, unable to work etc?

I experienced something similar. Especially after SRS. The first 2-3 years post-op I felt totally zapped of energy. Now everything feels pretty much normal again.
"Of course!"

Do a google search on "side effects of MTF HRT". This will give a greater understanding what HRT is about.

Maybe it's an effect of your T going too low and your E not being high enough? Also, T helps regulate thyroid function so you may want to get that checked. Have you had your prolactin levels checked?

I understand what you are saying. I'm just disappointed after all this time, I stuck here. For now I do not see the ideal path, the best path I can choose is the least ->-bleeped-<-ty path.
