Methanol - No Kidding [re:nail polish]

No kidding: methanol [denatured alcohol] acts as a solvent on nail polish.

I had thought that only acetone would suffice for this purpose.

A lot of organic(chemistry term not the media bs definition) solvents do.

That's cool.  :)

DOT 3 or DOT 4 Brake fluid would probably do it too, since it eats paint on cars.  Gasoline may as well depending on the type of polish (I've seen gas melt those red plastic cups).
