I mean b-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-d!

(Pausing out = suffering from menopausal symptoms)

No hormones since last Wednesday as prep for surgery, I am better this AM, any little stress sets me off though, like yesterday holding on with Sprint for thirty minutes trying to see if I could get a calling plan for Thailand.

I feel better now, spent the last four hours talking to my new AA girlfriends, this really lovely woman who almost died from cirrhosis after trying to drink herself to death when her husband, who is a prominent attorney (He defended Exxon in the Exxon-Valdez case!) ran off with another woman, took me under her wing and wants to be my sponsor (mentor) She told me that all the women at the Monday group really like me! Wow, I always feel "less than" I am learning that I can have a normal life now, I guess I feel like I don't deserve it or something. But people really do like me. In real life, I am very nice not the bad girl I can be on these forums.

I'm glad you're feeling better now.  You really don't want to be sick just days before your SRS.  Stay blessed hon!

Hmmmmm.....I have my moments too, but you should not denigrate yourself ever.

It's a subtle negative influence that you don't need, dear sister.

You and I have had friction in the past, but even I know that there is much more to a woman than that which can be perceived, in forums such as this one.

You strike me as intense, quite wounded by life as I have been, but intelligent and sensitive.

Never denigrate yourself, hon. You deserve better than such.  :)

I have been through a lot, completing my transition at this late stage and kicking my addictions at the same time. Women in my groups are pretty amazed at what I am doing and they see me as a courageous woman, a survivor.

When I get back I will have lots of new friendships to develop, the women I spoke of, Charlene has invited me to get together with "all the girls" when I return.

Thanks.  I think I will still "see" you when I come back from my vacation.  But just in case I don't.  I wish you all the best for a successful operation and a prompt recovery. :)
