Why is it that Christians believe that in Heaven, there is no sex reproduction, no night, no oceans, no menstruation, no marriage, and no time? Also, apparently, we keep our bodies and all we do is admire God. Because it's all in the bible? With Hell being my only other option, if that's Heaven i'll go but if that's what Heaven is really like, then Earth is better.

It's messed up that God wouldn't let me experience things that i would love to as a human female. The things i want to do in Heaven contradict eith the Christian views of Heaven, that's why I left Christianity.

If i get to live my version of Heaven:
- I'd be a human female, every biological and genetic trait that makes a human female, including my 46 xx sex chromosomes, and my female repro organs
- I'd menstruate every month, just like humans on Earth do, and with the same painful conditions too, and so would other females in Heaven
- There would still be people; young and old, babies, males, females, and all races too: Black, White, Asian, Latino, Hispanic, etc. I'm Black btw so i would stay that way in Heaven.
- Doctors, police officers, judges, hospitals, police stations, prisons, courtrooms, schools, colleges, universities, etc. will still exist.
- There will still be cursing, swearing, hitting, punching, slapping, and kicking people. There are still arguments, fights, yelling at people, etc.
- I would present as female. Be seen as female by the entire world, no one who knows me would care that i was male in this life.
- there is day AND night, and all units of time still apply inc. days, months, hours, minutes, etc. oh! All 5 seasons too! As well as holidays.
- I would have 2 little girls, i would get pregnant and give birth to them. Other women would get pregnant too. There is still sex reproduction in my heaven
- First i would have a boyfriend, i don't care too much about the marriage part but... whatever
- i would enter this Heaven by my mother giving birth to me... again.
- We can still ride buses, trains, trolleys, cars, trucks, vans, taxies, wait at subway stations, etc. there are still pedestrians, streets, highways, freeways, expressways, airports, airplanes, etc.
- Money still exists. We'd still have to pay for things
- i'd be raised as a girl, from childhood on and do be and have everything i had to miss out on here in this life
- The New Earth will look and be exactly like the Earth we're walking on now, same countries, cities, towns, landmarks, etc. then that way if anyone dies before going somewhere they wanted to visit and they go to Heaven it's still there.

I mean, i could go on for hours and damn near write a whole book describing how i want my Heaven to be like but the list abouve is as nutshell as i could get it. What do you guys think?

Let me also say i think it depends on religion since all 5 of the major religions seem to have different views and beliefs about heaven.
They say identity theft is a crime. Well, needless to say, a crime has been committed. My identity has been stolen. No, no one knows my social security number or has my credit card. I'm walking around in the wrong body. I'm wearing a costume which I cannot remove... and the only way I can remove that costume, is through surgery

I know many Christians who do not believe your description of heaven. Perhaps you need to meet other groups.

I know a lot of Christians How we feel about the Christian version of heaven is very similar.  Here's what I wrote about it in another thread a while back.

I would like to hear your thoughts on how you think heaven would be like as a Christian.

I would love to be reborn as a biological male and enjoy all the great and pleasurable sensations that a biological male body could give me.  I also would like a mansion overlooking a beach.  I could surf the heavenly cosmos too.  My mansion would have a game room with a large flatscreen tv and unlimited storage on my PS3.  When I'm not lazy I would like to be in a video game with the God mode cheat on lol.  I also would like a partner to spend an eternity with and I am going to be honest.  I would like to have a sexual and intimate relationship with that partner as well.  I'd like to cosplay in heaven too and get on the internet.  Oh yeah and I want to eat all the food I want and not get fat.  That mean Chinese, cheesecake, philly cheesesteaks and curly fries, seafood, etc. and I would be in perfect health.

I could literally write 10-20 pages of what I would like to do in heaven but those are just a few things.  I just want it to be like a "whatever would make you happy go for it" type thing.

However it does make me sad when I hear people saying that I wouldn't want these Earthly things in heaven like sex, food, video games, surfing, sleeping etc. and that all we would want to do is worship God 24/7 nonstop. That's fine for the people want to do that but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only Christian who secretly feels that that doesn't sound like fun at all.  There I said it and I feel relieved.

Another thing is the gender aspect.  Do you think you will keep your gender in heaven?  A lot of people don't think so since everyone is united but if that's the case why should I even transition if it won't matter in the afterlife?  Is it possible that part of the Bible was not to be taken literally (same with the no marriage in heaven aspect)?

I mean no disrepect to others who feel opposite of me but I'm just trying to figure it out.  I just want to be happy in the afterlife.

How do you feel about these things?

If I could be honest, I like the Muslim version of paradise better, because to me, it truly is paradise that I would want where all your dreams would come true....food and fine garments too?  Yes please!  I even find the Mormon religion to be very beautiful (being sealed in a covenant that will allow you to have a celestrial marriage for eternity? That is so romantic!).

But I have no intention of becoming a Mormon or Muslim.

, I think your view of your own heaven is interesting and I can relate to it in the sense that I wouldn't want everything to be perfect. I definately prefer Earth to heaven but even then, I kind of would prefer this Earth over the new Earth.  At this point though, if I can't have my view of heaven, the I prefer oblivion over anything.  Some may say I'm materializing heaven too much, but this is how I feel.

Heaven is a completely different place entirely.  This from someone who is scientific and also read the differing aspects and ideas of cosmology, a usually non deist religion with its own believers, different sects and apologists.  I read in the Bible that believers get a new body around their souls because our earthly bodies cannot exist there.  It is our earthly bodies that gives us our pains and pleasures.  It is our earthly bodies that gives us our short life.
I find after reading the Bible and experiencing life, that we are all born differently, including the identical twins.  Each of us are given a set of challenges when we were born, this is by design.  Some people have it easier than others, like being born rich and healthy, for instance.  Of those people I find that these have a harder time accepting the existence of God or use their belief in God as a merit badge.  Which Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man can go into heaven.  The "Eye of the Needle" is a small gate in Jerusalem that a small camel had to crawl on its knees to pass.  The rich people have things done for them, live in places overlooking a body of water, and do the earthly temptations that are frowned upon and get away with it here on Earth.  Old money, or the nouveau riche, it does not matter.
This is the same with people that are born with the prescribed mental characteristics and other things pertaining to their birth sex.  Some are born with no discernable sex (inter sexed).  Even that is covered in the bible as eunuchs.  Jesus made that clear and simple in one verse that there were 3 kinds of eunuchs; those being born as such, those that are due to actions of other men, and those who done it upon themselves for the sake of one's belief in God.  All 3 types are acceptable if one follows the laws and ordinances of the Bible just like everyone else.  The third type could be interpreted as transgender, androgynous or non-sexual.  I do have a problem with the gay people who use that verse for the excuse for their lifestyle.  That verse does not cover them, they will have to look elsewhere.
Annaiyah, You're doing fine by questioning your faith.  It is those who question their faith and keep it than those who don't, whether or not they believe in God, that have the harder time into getting into Heaven.  Studies in the past that covered transgender people, especially male to female people, found that the percentage of those that were very spiritual towards God is much higher than the other "normal" population.  Have faith, hugs!

No offense, but your heaven sounds like the opposite to me.  Menstruation pains, the need for a criminal justice system and money woos... oh no, not my idea of paradise, lol.  Still, I'm not too keen on the Christian view of paradise either.  George Orwell wrote about the boring nature of Christian Heaven in one of his essays (I believe it's in "can socialists be happy").

In any event, while I disagree with your view, I do appreciate you honesty about your perspective on heaven.

Thanks, Joelene, for your elaboration.

I understand, with Heaven being a place of eternal joy, that Heaven is a pain-free place, but at the same time, please do understanding that in order for me to fully be happy, it would take living the life that I could not have. That's where wanting the earth-like things come from, even when the Bible states we should not put on minds on earthly things, but being the way I am, I just want to live my full human life as a girl and do, be, have, and experience everything I otherwise could not here.

The menstruation pain, I can easily let go of, but I WILL NOT let go of the being female thing. Being female in Heaven is an absolute must, so is pregnancy, my female repro organs, menstruation, my full womanhood, a fully human female body, etc. OH! I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you but so you're not misunderstanding me, I want God/Jesus to give me a new body, a human female body that is eternal, that is just like our bodies on Earth but eternal.

You've given me faith with what you've said what I've boldface in your quote and for that I thank you! Hugs!

Lots of Love!

None taken! As I've said above, my wanting the menstruation pain and the other earthly affairs is derived from wanting the full human female life that I could not have here. But I'm certain that God can pull a few strings and work something out.

@AnnaiyahStarr: I couldn't reply to your other thread here since it was locked but I can really relate to how you feel in a lot of ways with not being born with a female body and how you feel God did you injustice. I'd even like to get to know you better too. I believe this was in your other thread how you said some Christians believe menstruation is a sin which to my knowledge (And I've read the bible at least 3 times fully and am reading it fully once more) it never said it was a sin. Now what it DID say was a sin is for men shouldn't go lay with their wife when she's on her period but that was for keeping them holy and was said to the people of Israel. (It's my belief that was only meant for the people of Israel and or for only that point in time because God was with them at the time if I recall right) So to my knowledge, that's the ONLY thing it said about menstruation. Besides, if menstruation really was a sin then my question is how come God made it so woman HAVE to menstruation? If they don't it can be REALLY bad. I copied this from wiki and the link to wiki is also here too.

When menstruation stops for longer than about 90 days in the absence of pregnancy or breastfeeding, a medical evaluation should occur, as a number of health problems can result in absent menstruation.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstruation

As for the questions you asked here.

Why is it that Christians believe that in Heaven, there is no sex reproduction, no night, no oceans, no menstruation, no marriage, and no time? Also, apparently, we keep our bodies and all we do is admire God. Because it's all in the bible?

Answering them in order here. They believe that because (And again all of this is to the best of my knowledge since no matter how many times you read the bible, you'll always miss something or get a new perspective of it) in the bible it says there will be heaven on Earth for 1000 years with Jesus ruling and or watching over us and at that time people can still have kids. Long story short, after that there will be the Heaven that's not on Earth where I guess God will be ruling and or watching over us and at that point supposedly we won't be able to have kids anymore. Now if it does indeed say that I believe it didn't say we won't be able to have sex anymore just we won't have kids anymore. It does say there will be no more night and that God will be our Sun so we won't need the Moon, Sun or the stars. I've never once read where it said there won't be oceans or no water for that matter. From my understanding there won't be anymore pain in heaven, I'm going to keep an eye out for that since I'm not too sure if it ever said that. No marriage. I can't be too sure on this one, some say when Heaven comes it'll go back to how it was in old times (Men ruling over/dominating the women I guess -_-' ) so if that's true then marriage might still be possible. Tbh I think the bible said there won't be anymore marriage and I guess that's why they believe there won't be anymore sex because it's a sin to have sex if you aren't married. And yes, in revelations it does say God will stop time. It doesn't say he'll restart it. The body is very controversial. It says we'll be reborn in our "spiritual" bodies, not our earthly bodies. NO ONE can say for sure what our bodies will look like when we go to Heaven. As for All we do is admire God? Well it does say something about making tools to make our house with and tilling our yard if I recall right and the only other thing it says (Again to my knowledge) is we'll be worshipping God. I myself doubt that's all we'd be doing but that's just me. And lastly, yes, because it's all in the bible is one of the reasons why Christians believe this, because God said so. That's how they see it as.

Hope to see you around and to get to know you better and again, I can really understand your pain with not being born with a female body. :(

The no ocean part comes from people's interpretation of Relevations 21:1 KJV which states:

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

The problem with an earthly view of heaven is in that all things pertaining unto the kingdom of God are spiritual. Heaven is a spiritual place where our souls shall go if we are saved.

Jesus said that those counted worthy of eternal life shall neither be male nor female but as the angels. When John was about to worship the angel when he was in the Spirit on the Isle of Patmos the angel told him not to do it as he was one of his brothers a prophet. That prophet had put off the tabernacle and become as an angel.

Since angels are ministering spirits and neither male nor female there is no procreation, sex or gender related traits. The pain of being transgender is over for those who believe and seek an end to pain, frustration and suicidal thoughts.

There will be no need of a police department where no sin nor uncleanness is allowed to enter. There is no need of anything of this darkened world of sin where peace, love and joy fill every moment of eternity.

The word says we will no longer remember this world. Why would anyone want to? Why remember every mistake we made or every time we got hurt or hurt others? Why remember the death of loved ones and lost loves who hated us and turned from us?

The word of God is very clear about what heaven will be like for those who believe and are counted worthy of eternal life. It is also very clear that it will not be like this temporal life where all are tried to see if they love the Lord Jesus of Nazareth above all other things.

May God bless.

There are a couple of things I have noticed about people that have died and been to heaven and sent back.

First off, they have no desire for this lousy world. They have to be here to share the gospel because they were sent back to warn some and comfort others. They hate every day of their lives in this world and many may hate it as bad as a transgender person hates theirs. they know that suicide is not forgivable and will not even consider it out of fear of ending up in the place opposite of where they visited.

Secondly, they fear God far too much to make a dollar off of the gospel writing books and telling of their experience for wealth or fame. They are repulsed at those who buy and sell the word and Spirit (dove) of God and those who teach blasphemy and err.

thirdly, they know what total peace, joy and love feels like with no temptation nor weight of anything of this natural world. they know that the feeling of the Spirit of God in heaven will be beyond that which is felt when the Holy Ghost comes upon them in this life. They also know that one second of having the touch of the Spirit of God is better than anything this world has to offer and the feeling of the presence of the Lord and the Great God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob overshadows that beyond description.

Finally, they also know that the vast majority of Christianity is backslidden and heading for hell and leading others down their darkened path every day with their carnal foolishness and views of a word which is Spirit and of the which the half has not yet been told.

I hope this helps.

May God bless.

Suggested reading: The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis who was a Christian apologist that wrote on many aspects of Christian belief.  (He also wrote the Narnia Chronicles which, under the disguise of an adventure story, is actually a commentary on Christian pilgrimage.)  Lewis' heaven image is a place of limitless opportunity, except for one tiny thing, to get in we must be ready to give up our entire earthly self, not as the myths most others tell about heaven, but as a freeing of our will because our will is too limited for the real experience of heaven.  Give it a try.

I think when it comes to God and Heaven we create the images in our minds that are limited by our physical world. Both are Spiritual in nature and are not bound by the physcal world or physical laws. Discriptions of such are just parrables in which when we walk on the streets of gold in Heaven, monetary value we place on things here on earth don't exist just like I don't beleive there are actual streets paved with gold in Heaven. I also don't believe God said, "Let there be light." The person that wrote that part of Genesis in the bible said that. Does an entity as Devine as God need to make such a statement? But a person does that relays a message or tells a story.

As for genders, menstration, procreation and such in Heaven, I can't really say but can ask what gender is the Soul? I believe niether but both. Menstruation? That is physical and painful, Why would it exist in Heaven. Is there procreation? Probably, didn't God create the Universe, us and however many more sentient life forms there may be in the universe? As for the Elohim, aren't they procreators? So yeah, I believe there is procreation. What is Heaven anyway? Is it personal due to our innermost desires or is it uniform. I don't believe it's either/or but so far out of or level of comprehension that we can't really know until the time comes to find out.

I too used to think many things and believe many things but as the Holy Ghost started showing me things and then backing them up with more scripture I put away what "I believe" and what I wanted to think and such.

Since the word of God says that God said "let there be light" I believe it. It bears witness unto Jesus Christ being the alpha and omega, the first and the last, the author and finisher of our faith to name a few scriptures. It also backs up Jesus being "the beginning of the creation of God."
Jesus said the Father hath life and has given the Son to have life in himself. The word says in him was life and the life was the light of men. Jesus said he came out from his Father. If God is light and in him no darkness then this bears witness unto Jesus being the light which has come out from him.

In Genesis God said Let there be light and he called the light Day. The evening and the morning was the FIRST day. The beginning of creation. The Son of God spoken into existence.

The lights in the firmament were on the FOURTH day.

The greater light a type and shadow of God whom Jesus said is greater than all. this ruled the Day. The apostle Paul said we are children of the day and not of the night. The children of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

The lesser light is a type and shadow of Jesus whom of God was created a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death yet crowned with all glory and honor. This light separates darkness from light. Jesus is the one mediator between man and God. The word also says that God who is holy is sanctified (set aside) in righteousness. The word also says in 1 Corinthians 1:30 Jesus has been made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Al bearing witness unto the lesser light created on the fourth day.

The stars are as children of Abraham.

The word says the heavens magnify and glorify the Lord.

The light of the 1st day is Jesus Christ spoken into existence as the beginning of the creation of God.

The lights of the 4th day are types and shadows of God and Jesus and the children of Israel, or Christians both Jew and Gentile. they bear witness unto the glory of God and his Son. We don't worship them as Christians but they can remind us of them.

There is just too many spiritual types and shadows that bear witness unto Christ in both the world around us and the scriptures in both testaments. the key is to let scripture interpret scripture as the Holy Ghost reveals it.

Nothing I posted contradicts it's self at any point. All bears witness unto the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God when using scripture leaves nothing to wonder about when one truly seeks with all their heart.

May God bless.

Umm... This might be VERY controversial, but... you're description of 'your' heaven is actually on par with what I believe Heaven TRULY is. It says in the Bible there will be no death or pain, no disease, no weeping or mourning, but in the 50 times I've read the Bible cover-to-cover, I have NEVER seen 'There will not be gender'. If anything, Heaven will be more like how Earth was intended before the Fall. Yes, there WILL be other countries, worlds, cosmos, and all races. Also, animals. Cosplay isn't a sin, so I imagine that's fine.

I'm a T-girl myself, and personally, I believe that, yes, we WILL be genetic females in Paradise, just as T-boys will be genetic males. Everybody else will be their true gender as well.

Yes, childbirth will happen, I have no doubt about that. Why? Because Jesus BLESSED the children. Yes, periods and all that will happen, but not AS painful.

As for premarital sex... yeah, no. Marriage is a sacred pact to God, so it's likely we'd need to  be married first to our partners before sex.

Basically, yes. The Heaven you described as the 'Christian' Heaven, is NOT the Biblical Heaven. Indeed, your description of your Heaven is more accurate. Keep thinking of it, and I hope to see you there... sister.

Not just a Buddhist's perspective Hon. It also pertains to mine and I'm a Spiritual mutt. Or maybe a spiritual nut, who knows? ;)

Read Matthew 22 v 23 to 33

Keep thinking of it, and I hope to see you there... sister.

That's is not what paradise is about, Are souls go with the lord, Not our bodies, Because to be apsent from his body is to be present with lord, Their will not be sex, Or any pain or sorrow, You got it mixed up, We are gonna be spirits

UMMM The Bible does tell us a bit of what our bodies will be like. Jesus the first fruit from the dead is our example of what they will be like. Mary when she saw Jesus called Him sir. Jesus could eat,the disciples could touch His body. The Bible does tell us that our bodies will NOT be bodies of flesh and BLOOD,but of flesh and bone.

Luke 24

36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38 He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."

40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Our bodies will be transformed, the Bible does NOT say we will not have bodies.
Answers are easy. It's asking the right questions which is hard.

Be positive in the fact that there is always one person in a worse situation then you.
