Jayne

I had an appointment at Charing Cross gender clinic in London today, after almost 3 years of waiting I have just had the go ahead to start HRT.
Due to my T levels being so low they aren't going to give me T blockers as they think that the Estradol (is that how you spell it?) will bring my T levels to a normal female range, they are starting me on a very low dose & plan to increase it over the coming months, apparently this gradually increasing dosage gives better breast development.

Due to the new NHS procedures he is going to write to my GP so I don't have to wait for my next endo appointment, he has also confirmed that under the new NHS rules I am entitled to 8 electrolysis sessions, he said it's so new that i'm the first person he's had the pleasure of referring for this.
Party time  ;D :eusa_dance: :icon_bumdance-nerd: :icon_dance: :icon_drunk: :icon_geekdance: :icon_joy: :icon_rockon:

Wow, that is GREAT!!!!  Congrads!!!! :) :) :)
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

In all seriousness, congrats!

Congrats Jayne! I'm so chuffed for you. And about time too! :)

Congratulations Jayne.

Finished and submitted my first Medieval History assignment for the semester.  500 words can seem so loooooooooooong!

I was heading out to do some field work with a colleague (collecting pine needles for various studies out in the middle of nowhere, Montana) and we saw a mountain lion! Bounded across the road in front of my truck. That's a first for me!

So. Cool.

I was worried about telling my ex about my name and thus finally coming out to him as trans, but his only response was a completely neutral, "I heard. Do you want me to use masculine pronouns?" Phew!

It's a good show. I like how there are so many moments of heartwarming. Like in an episode that takes place on Halloween, all the kids are excited to come to Monroe's house.

What show is that from.  I assumed that was a scene from Prison Break.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Grimm isn't it? That's the actor who plays Monroe, he's wearing something Monroe would wear, and there is greenery behind him.

He does look too sane to be the guy from Prison Break.

Yep. Same actor though.
Speaking of watching different things actors are in, I've been watching some things Gustaf SkarsgÄrd is in. He plays Floki in Vikings and an effeminate gay guy in Patrik, Age 1.5. The funny thing is, he uses the same mannerisms and movements for both characters and it works for both characters. I had fun imagining a viking wearing a sweater vest.

That's awesome! I am so glad he handled it so well - respectful, but also "no big deal", you know? And congrats on the name change. ;D

My singing voice is coming back.

I guess my voice hasn't finished breaking yet, it's still changing A LOT. This one day it is deep and raspy, this next day it is medium-pitched and squeaky/crackly. Not good when you like singing. I managed to pull off Ian Gillan's overall vocal tone at the beginning (not the middle part or end, obviously, my voice is not really high or powerful) of Child in Time.

Sweet child in time,
you're gonna see the line,
the line that's drawn between,
the good of us and the bad of us,

See the blind man,
shooting at the world,
bullets flying,
taking toll

If you've been bad,
lord i bet you have,
and you've not been hit,
by flying lead

You'd better close your eyes,
you'd better bow your head,
and wait for the ricochet

Ooohooowoooo, ooohooowoooo,
Ooohwoohoo, i wanna be inside you (so far so good)
Ooohoohoo, ooohoohoo, ooohoohooo

Aahh"crack" (i stop)

I'm over the moon right now. Caleb bought some dress shirts finally. And he looks great! I mean, really really good!! I think it will help his self esteem. I was kind of in shock because for the last few days he's been really bummed out, so when he came online to chat my jaw dropped! and I actually got teary eyed. lol.
