Long time listener, first time caller. It works something like that, right?

It wasn't until I received a gentle nudge from a certain user that I realized I'd never properly introduced myself, and I believe my mother raised me better than that, so here it goes :P

How's it going, you guys can call me Luke (or Lucas, or Kato, all of which are acceptable and legally applicable) :D. I'm a 24 year old trans man from southern New Hampshire. I went to college in CT and graduated just over 2 years ago with a degree in cinema studies, but I've worked in a local Target for the past 2 years (it's temporary still, I'm currently working on getting myself in a better situation). I've been on T for just about 4 months and I'm looking into getting top surgery in April (hence all of the lurking as of late).

As for non trans related things, I'm a big nerd and spend a lot of my free time playing Skyrim, planning my cosplays (2 months until NYCC, not that I'm counting or anything  :-X), learning about quantum physics, obsessing over TV/movies/anime, and spending all too much time on Tumblr :D.

I post YouTube videos here for anyone interested in getting to know a little bit more about me. I'm a little bit late on updates sadly  :-\, but one should be coming soon!

So yeah, looking forward to getting to know all of you a little bit better :)

Welcome to Susan's as a poster! :)

My 14 year old son loves Skyrim. I've played it too but I have a hard time getting into it. I'm not a big fan of fantasy and I'm more of an MMO kind of girl but still enjoy some non-MMO games. If it's sci-fi or superhero, count me in. ;)

Oh, hai there. April top surgery, huh? My birthdays in April :D. I love Skyrim but i am burned out from playing it too much! I also enjoy plenty of shows and movies! Hopefully instead of spending so much time on Tumblr you'll post here :P As for your YouTube videos, you should post them somewhere on here separately, that way you'll get more views (If i remember to, I shall watch one, too tired at the moment >.<)

Hey Kato,
Welcome, from another post-lurking, Skyrim playing dude. Grats on the upcoming top surgery; that's exciting (almost as exciting as killing dragons*!)

* if said dragon slaying involved real dragons. As it is, dragon slaying is less exciting.

I can definitely understand not getting into Skyrim. I'd actually been Skyrim-free for almost a year until they had the Steam sale and I caved  ;D I'm definitely a big fan of superheroes though, so I'm glad to be in good company. Right now in my costume repertoire for superheroes I have Captain America, which little kids love, and Male!Black Widow, which kids don't seem to love quite as much.

That's my hope at least. April 12th is my 1 year on T and hopefully I'll have all the funding together by then. I'm very thankful to have supportive parents who want nothing more than to see me happy and are helping me finance my surgery expenses. I was a PS3 Skyrim user, so I burned out when my memory got too high, but once again, dat Steam sale . I also still have hardcore love for Tumblr, it's like the world's laziest newsfeed for all of my nerdiness. I'll probably get around to posting my videos elsewhere a little later on, I'm about 2 months behind on making them so there's nothing too relevant in them right now.

Glad to be here, especially if I can share all of my nerdy love for things :D.

I definitely agree about the slaying dragons. In order of excitement real Dragon slaying > top surgery > Skyrim dragon slaying

Thank you for the welcome, glad to be here!

I'd read most of these ages ago when I signed up, so it was helpful to have a refresher at my fingertips.

Welcome Luke

My husband is a huge Skyrim and Oblivion fan. Me i just kinda watch him play. He did get me to play the Fallout 3 and NV. Not that much a gamer.

Hope all goes well with all the things you will work on going forward.

Just stay true to yourself and your lives path.

I didn't it get until the sale either, $35 for the Legendary Edition wasn't a bad deal, plus my son was bugging me to get it since it came out because he loved it so much. I joined the Stormcloaks and made it out of the cave, then I didn't feeling like progressing further, I'll get back to it some time. For fantasy games, I really had fun with Dragon Age: Origins since it felt more like I was soloing a MMO with its UI/controls but still, being fantasy, I didn't get super far, just farther than I did in Skyrim.

As far as superheroes go, I'm more of a DC fan girl, love Green Arrow in his older comics (as well as the TV show Arrow), just not so crazy about his current run, it's not good, at all.  :'(  I do like Marvel too, not so much of a fan of the comics as I used to be but really enjoying the Marvel Studios' (not Sony or Fox or other studio's) movies. Captain America used to be my favorite Marvel character too but I started getting into Deadpool recently and OMG, he is so funny/awesome and his game is fun too but Cap still ranks high with my favorties. ;)

Sorry but if you get me talking about superheroes, Star Wars, Farscape or Doctor Who, I'll babble on for hours.  :icon_geekdance:

That is wonderful of how your parents are. I want to checkout Dragonborn. Hopefully they are already working on the next Elder Scrolls game :P. I never got used to using Tumblr, but I enjoy seeing other people on there. I forgot to watch one! My bad. I am going to bookmark it to watch in the morning!

They've been working on Elder Scrolls Online for awhile now. It's "supposed" to be released next year, last I heard.

Yeah, I kind of thought you might, but what does it matter when we're talking about a new MMO!?!? :P

Hi Luke, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7028. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

I checked out your most recent video. Boston, how boring :P. I noticed your video titles seem similar to that of Friends episode titles...

Bought Skyrim a while ago, loved the Dragon Battles.  When they roar in the distance I start looking around like "Where is it!?!"
