I personally love 1930s swing/lindyhop fashion.  It is such a fun look.

I Know Right.  It is kind of a pain that vintage clothes usually come in two sizes, Small and Extra Small.  I guess it's a good inspiration to keep loosing weight.

Yes, and the clothes too! The trick is to learn how to sew--the women back then were known for their sewing skills, and then you can make whatever size or style you want!

generally that style is just a little too skinny for me - I am a size 10 still - I never made it quite that small - I have always been just a bit plump

I do like like some of the older styles though - more into 50's though

hey a while back I was 220lbs - the doctor had me on two medications mood stabilizer and antidepressant they were killing me, I needed 2 blood pressure meds, 2 meds for Cholesterol and they were not even able to test me for my triglycerides they were so high  I was even on anti anxieties because of all of this and I needed a walker at one point (got up to 250)

Yes. I have some polka dots. One was too short for me, and I gave it to my wife. The following one is very comfort, even at home.



Today I became suddenly interested in Daisy Dukes, searching online stores. Daisy dukes are also a kind of vintage? I am not sure, as we do not have an officially translated term for it in my country. I want to wear shorts like the following one:



But, I fear people call me slut. Those extremely short pants are a trend here in my country. I also saw one girl wearing it in northern Italy (Venice) a month ago. She looked so sexy, but I though it is not a usual dress to wear in public. I may try it in a beach, but I am not quite sure.

I am sorry - not me - in my opinion if you want to flaunt your body - go to a nude beach   

don't go sticking your butt out - guess I am just old fashioned

I suppose you can buy "Daisy Dukes", but in my part of the world, that's just what happens when your jeans get worn and you cut off the legs. I can't say as I ever cut any that short, though. It certainly would make tucking a challenge. I'd suggest going with a pair a bit longer than those in the picture.

There's nothing wrong with amending clothes to make them wearable again.  Its really not nice to call it garbage.  It doesn't have to look trashy, you just have to have some design sense.  Not everyone likes to be so wasteful.

if your your parts show when you wear them - your clothes are trash - and I am sorry  - you can call me judgmental - so are you -

if you patch your clothes then fine - I have absolutely no problem with people being poor and re wearing clothes - trust me - I wear clothes from thrift stores - I have only one piece of clothing in my closet that was purchased new & it was purchased with a coupon that I earned by doing surveys online - I have not bought  new clothes in over 5 years OK?! I am not a wealthy person nor do I spend a whole lot of money on clothes nor do I think people have to

I saw a lot of brand new, very short denim shorts in stores when I toured around Hong Kong shopping malls with my wife. I thought they were a kind of beach wear, but fairly expensive. Anyway, I should have picked up one of them. Yesterday in a beach, I saw some girls wearing very short pants, revealing the buttock lines. Certainly they will help ventilating my buttocks to subdue recurrent pimples.

Well, fashion is fashion I guess. While I'm not quite as conservative about these things as Vegie is, I'd be reluctant to hit the streets with the bottom of my fanny showing. BTW, I noticed your illustration of the Daisy Dukes wearer has been censored since I was here last. I guess there's a certain amount to fanny cleavage that's acceptable here at Susan's.
