:D A Canadian! (?) I loved the Raccoons. I distinctly remember the Christmas special (though not the plot per se).

Proud Canadian!:D I grew up in southern Ontario and now live in Saskatchewan.

I think Cyril Sneer had a formative impact on the development of my anticapitalist politics  ::)

I'm an American who lived close to the border. We'd visit Montreal from time to time... the winter olympics were always better on CBC, too ;) (I'm not sure I'll be watching them at all next year). (Edit: ooh.. just thought - it'd be pretty awesome if some of the countries did a GLBT+ thing during the procession!! Send the US team some rainbow stripes & stars).

I already covered yesterday and today's happy things... but I also shaved and seem to be razor burn free (for the first time in that region), and cleaned up the eyebrows - not fem yet, but much cleaner than they were. Now if only all this darned hair would stop growing!!! (AAs... where are you?)

6 years ago, I made the decision to come out rather than kill myself. Even though all I knew about "the gays and transgenders" was "you'll be screwed up, everyone will hate you, you'll never find love, your family will leave you, no one will hire you, you'll get diseases, die alone, and then rot in hell."

I guess something inside myself told me that my life was worth more than that, even if it was hard. Not that being out as been easy, I've certainly experienced discrimination and hurt, but most of what I was told were lies.

- I'm not screwed up, I'm getting a master's degree, I'm a teacher with great reviews, I have a clean bill of health. I've had more than one person tell me they love how much I smile and laugh, how I know what's truly important, how I have encouraged them to empower themselves.
- Lots of people like me. I don't even have to say much more about that, lol. I'm a nice person.
- I have found love. More than once. The first time, it didn't work out, but I know what we shared was real. It was unconditional. Even when she first broke up with me, I cried so hard I thought I'd puke, but I knew deep down that if I had taken my own life, I'd never have been able to experience that love. And as for the girl who loves me now, well, we'll have to see if things work out for us, but I know she loves me and I love her.
- My family has been a royal pain in the ass and has hurt me pretty bad over this stuff, but they haven't gone anywhere. :P
- I've been hired several times now and done well at the jobs.
- I don't have any diseases. :)
- I hopefully won't die alone.
- Hell doesn't exist.

I cried so much over the past hour thinking about this. I never thought I'd have a beautiful life, I just figured that even if life was crappy, I was worth something. Who would have known I could be all that I am?

And of course you know that your Auntie Shan and others here love you too because we see these great winning qualities in you as well Caleb. Like the saying says, "You can't be optimistic if you have a misty optic!" Whiners don't have a sense of vision about who they are like you do because unfortunately they can't see past their own tears.

This CDR I made of ripped audio from Youtube videos of music from the Tenchi Universe series (but I think a few others might be from other versions of Tenchi but I'm not sure.) It came out sounding really strong and with lots of POWA!!  :D (Darkie would probably get that reference.) I normally don't do this sort of thing (being a person that usually buys the legit physical media) but anything I found was stuff on Youtube or VERY expensive import CD's from Japan. Due to other issues, I can't afford that and it's also from Amazon and I heard lots of sketchy stuff about them.

When I go work at Con Alt Delete I will see if I can find you a copy. If I can't there I'm pretty sure I can find it at ACEN.

Father has given me some change- probably 10 bucks worth at least, which means more money for my top surgery fund, which i desperately needed since my my Craigslist sales have been doing.

I did Rugged Maniac today with my friend from work and two other girls. It was a lot of fun, and now we're going to do another mud race in October. (Proof in updated profile picture, I usually don't smile often)

The series finale of Breaking Bad. MMmmmmmm...

I'm getting a lot better at crying. "Glee Therapy" works wonders! (I'm up to the wedding episode in Season 2 - which I watched this morning, though I could barely see the screen at times).

Watched it, dark stuff but the moral of the story is that crime doesn't pay and look at all the lives that were destroyed! In a way I felt sorry for Walt, he originally wanted to be able to pay for his chemo but the love of money being the root of all evil, he was sucked into the adrenaline charged vortex of the drug culture and was for a moment in time not just a stogy middle aged sickly school teacher, he was "The Man!" Bet we'll see more of this once unknown actor in the future, he's made a name for himself.

Unknown actor???  He's from Malcolm in the Middle.

Never watched it, anyway he's not been a real star quality guy, but he's certainly made a big hit as "Walt!" I think we'll see him more often because of his strong emotion filled role in that series.
