Hi, as the tittle implies, my name is Lyra May (first and middle name, not surname) and quite obviously I'm new here. Now a for a little backstory about myself:
I'm a minor who has just recently recognized and come to terms with the fact ( sense?) of being trans (MtF) even though I guess I've felt that way through out my life, and just disregarded it at some point and let it float into the back of my mind where I wouldn't notice it, until now.

In the last few months ( I think that's right, I tend to lose track of time very easily) I have come out to my mum, my dad, one pair of my grandparents, a couple of my friends and my school counselor and have received very supportive responses. I have also gotten to the point of seeing a GP, who has sent a referral a endo and gender therapist, resulting In a eventual first appointment with a therapist about being trans.

Tl;dr: came out a few months ago, positive response and lots of progress being made towards transitioning

Welcome Lyra May! And congratulations on taking your first steps. If you ever need help or people to talk to, you'll always find people here :)
Farewell to my friends, farewell to the life I knew. I burn what once was, and in the ashes I am born anew.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Lyra May, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7700 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
