Not sure if this counts but I'm only around 7 weeks on T lol Which might seem like a lot compared to just getting on it but still. You won't be too far behind.

I started almost a year ago (10/19). Congrats on being on T! You found a good way to celebrate it :)

Congrats Chipper! :D

I'll have to keep Nesteby in mind if I want to go on T in the future. Does Baystate refer to the hospital in Springfield, MA?

Thanks, dude. Keep in touch, it'd be cool to hear about your progress/share stories!

Curious what dose your doc started you on?

Glad to hear a lot of other dudes have/are also started/starting at a similar time... keep in touch, guys!
Anyone noticing any changes yet?

I started about 7 weeks ago, so only a bit ahead of you.

Changes so far:
new body hair everywhere...

I have hand hair! hah, I'm so excited for my hand hair because it is a noticeable change I see all the time. There's only like 4 of them that are dark and long, but small light ones are creeping up too that I expect will convert themselves shortly. Knuckle hair also coming in. Lots of new thigh hair.  My calves have always been super hairy, but now my thighs are on the way to match. Dark hair too.

I have acne issues that I have to stay vigilant with to control. It is bad :( I expected it though.

Libido is up too. It is different from before.

And the best one so far - out of nowhere the last couple of days, my voice definitely without a doubt dropped. It was a bit deeper and raspy leading up to this, but now my default speaking voice is definitely lower. I was ecstatic about this last night.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I am confident and calm, and now feel like I have a center to myself that was never there before. It is fantastic. I am so glad to be on T.

Enjoy your 2nd shot Chipper! Stay in touch with this thread, maybe we can all keep up with each other.

I had pretty bad acne my first go around with puberty... any tips on how to keep that under control?

I can't use the hardcore acne stuff cause it causes me to itch and what not, allergic I think.  This is the thing I'm most nervous about!

It took me SO many years to get my acne under control and just within the last couple of years it's slowed down, I'm excited about the changes but not looking forward to going through that again!

Mine is pretty much the exact same level of awfulness as when I first experienced it. This is what I do and it sorta works to clear it up at least temporarily before it gets bad once again:

-wash my face with Cetaphil soap in the shower
-every other day exfoliate (I use the St. Ives exfoliate that is cheap because it was highly recommend. I like it.). I do the bridge of my nose everyday because those pores fill with grossness quickly.

-after washing my face, I put Dickinson's witch hazel toner on. Sometimes I will do this again halfway through the day when I feel particularly greasy.
-my skin sorta dries out after all of this, so I bought some Cetaphil lotion to help with that

- I try my hardest to keep my hands off my face and out of my hair (not always successful...)

-I shave every other day. I can't tell if it helps or hurts, but I always make sure to change out the blade frequently so nothing builds up on it and is spread.

Congrats on starting T by the way Lexicon.

Thanks!  That's really helpful actually.  I admit I wasn't good at being really diligent the first go round, maybe now that I'm a bit older chronologically and a half way responsible and mostly functional adult.... I can actually stick to a routine ;)

We'll see!!

Thank you!

Can I still join the party? I feel like the ugly older uninvited brother here with almost 5 months on T :P

Regarding acne, ugh, yeah. I'm facing the same issues. I thought I was lucky when it didn't come within 2-3 months, while a lot of guys mentioned having acne within a few weeks. Around the 3 months mark it hit me hard, and now my face is covered in it. Pretty sucky for a 26 year old, but not much I can do about it.

Hoping mine doesn't get too bad. Just a few on my chin now. What do you guys do to control it?
  •

LordKAT

Wash 2x daily, anti bacterial ointment.
