I honestly do not like how broad my shoulders are, I think it looks unattractive and I am all about beauty. I do intend to carry on with FFS, adams apple shaving, electrolysis, and working on my voice. To look like a beautiful queer with sexy lean muscle body rather chasing the female look, although imma still be wearing chanel and and louis and gucci.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

This would be one of the many reasons pre-transition gender counseling is important.  If you like your body and gender enough to stay in them, by all means do!  Celebrate yourself and enjoy your body... just every now and then think of your brothers and sisters who do not match the body they have.

And remember, many of us go through changes of mind.  Over time, your perceptions may change.  Unless the reason for your interest in transition was purely aesthetic, there is a good chance that when you get older you will find yourself leaning toward transition again.  We're here for you, and we'll be there for you if you do. :)

Good for you!  Its great thing that you came to this conclusion early.

I agree 100%. . You could have been at a point in your transition, where there would be no turning back. :( But I'm glad that you've made your decision early, before any damages were done.

How broad Your shoulders are? I was seeing them as being quite an issue before my transition, but they shrunk significantly after I started extensive weight loss and now under the HRT they keep getting smaller. I think eventually I will end somewhere in the range of broad-shouldered females, but it would be female range, nevertheless (most of the shoulderwidth is made of muscles and tissue, btw - once they are gone, the before/after difference is very noticeable).

It's perfectly alright how you feel, there are a number of us here who have arrived at that same crossroads and have accepted ourselves as androgynous and have been able to put to rest much of the angst caused by gender dysphoria, not that it's ever gone but is more a matter of living without those demons overtaking and destroying us.

...maybe I should track that measurement.

Before I started losing weight, my chest was around 42" ... 47" shoulders sounds like where I could be, but lots of women have broad shoulders. Remember that there's a lot of muscle up there (even for us weaklings)... and female swimmers are hot!

Few of us will look like female pop idols. I'm never going to be 5'2" - though I'd love to be (I'm 5'11"). I always think it's funny (though I don't laugh... never...) when women complain about being too short. I know a girl who's 5'10" and she complains about posture problems from trying to look smaller all through high school... now she doesn't (seem to) care.

Amira,
Hold on here.
I am 5-7 and if I measure across.. looking in the mirror best way to do it I am 18" wide.. and I have been a body builder.. although I am un-body building and plan to body build again after I start HRT next month.
Average girl is 17" across..
I thought I was super broad shouldered.. but I have lost 30 lbs and have 30 more to go.. I will fall into that average.
I don't think you are as broad as you think..
Also, if you get in great shape you should be attractive.
Females in shape with broad shoulders can be very attractive.. in fact that may help you if you get your waist skinny.. because you will have a big ratio of shoulder to waist look.. like a V... I have a long waist and at 54 if I transition the last thing I am worried about is how my body will look.. I am more worried about other things..
Just my 2 cents which may not be worth much but I wanted to chime in. See below.

Shoulder width is one of the many measurements used to characterize human body structure. Wide, or broad, shoulders are often considered to be an indication of athleticism, particularly when matched with a narrow waist. Psychological studies indicate that shoulder width, along with waist circumference, is one of the determining characteristics for female attractiveness.

The Biacromial Diameter

Almost every structural aspect of the human body has been studied and quantified, including shoulder width and the branch of anatomy that attempts to quantify structural qualities of the human form is anthropometry. The anthropometric measure of shoulder width is taken from the bony projections, or acromial processes, on the outer tips of your shoulder blades and is called the biacromial diameter or biacromial width.

Average Shoulder Width

For the average 18-year-old female, the bicacromial width is about 35 cm or 14 in. For comparison, the average biacromial width is about 39 cm, or 15 in, for males of the same age. Longitudinal studies show that women experience a growth spurt in shoulder width in their early teens, but that shoulder width does not significantly change after age 18.
Androgyny Index

Another measure used by anthropometrists that involves shoulder width is Tanner's Index of Androgyny. The index of androgyny is calculated from measurements of shoulder width and hip width. A body type demonstrating wide shoulders and narrow hips would have a high androgyny index. A typical nonathletic woman would have an average androgyny index of around 80.
Actual Shoulder Width

Although most measurements of shoulder width are reported using the biacromial width based on skeletal structure, shoulder width can vary as well because of the size of the deltoid muscles, which sit on the sides of the shoulder and because of varying thickness of the layer of sucutaneous fat found under the skin. Because of the added width contributed by these soft tissues, the average adult female shoulder width is 43 cm, or just under 17 in.

Sometimes you have to look past these things and look for the inner beauty of yourself. That's what I always look for whenever I get dressed and go out. Sure I may hear some derogatory remarks, but I just smile and move onwards.  :)
