Well I got a new wheelchair for my wife and collected her from the nursing home. She was so excited. Basically this chair allows her to lie down with her legs propped up and her back reclined. We hope it means that she can stay out of the nursing home for a few hours at a time.
So we went to our usual supermarket, a big place but we seem to be recognised for some reason, I think it is my distinctive sun glasses! At least that is what I tell my wife

Anyhow we kept being stopped by staff members commenting on the new chair and how happy my wife was, we even ended up with a rather cute young man carrying the bags

We got to the check out, all packed as usual on a Saturday morning. Then a staff member comes over and says they have opened another check out, we go there and a queue starts, only for the checkout girl to say, this checkout is only open for Cindy and her wife! Mmmm.
So we finish and start to go for a coffee and see an old friend who hasn't seen me for over a year. She comes over and talks to my wife and introduces herself to me. I say, I used to be P but I'm now Cindy, the poor woman goes white and I thought she was going to faint!!
My wife is killing herself laughing by now.
And pipes up with 'she has changed a bit hasn't she'
All in all a great day.
Thank you to the staff at Coles in Glenelg for making two people very happy. You are wonderful and special people.
Hugs
Cindy
