Cindy

Well I got a new wheelchair for my wife and collected her from the nursing home. She was so excited. Basically this chair allows her to lie down with her legs propped up and her back reclined. We hope it means that she can stay out of the nursing home for a few hours at a time.

So we went to our usual supermarket, a big place but we seem to be recognised for some reason, I think it is my distinctive sun glasses! At least that is what I tell my wife

Anyhow we kept being stopped by staff members commenting on the new chair and how happy my wife was, we even ended up with a rather cute young man carrying the bags

We got to the check out, all packed as usual on a Saturday morning. Then a staff member comes over and says they have opened another check out, we go there and a queue starts, only for the checkout girl to say, this checkout is only open for Cindy and her wife! Mmmm.

So we finish and start to go for a coffee and see an old friend who hasn't seen me for over a year. She comes over and talks to my wife and introduces herself to me. I say, I used to be P but I'm now Cindy, the poor woman goes white and I thought she was going to faint!!

My wife is killing herself laughing by now.
And pipes up with 'she has changed a bit hasn't she'

All in all a great day.

Thank you to the staff at Coles in Glenelg for making two people very happy. You are wonderful and special people.

Hugs

Sounds like a good day, not that I can stand grocery shopping.  ;D

Nice your wife also had a good laugh, sometimes the best medicine.
Have you changed have you? I can't see it. Perhaps a new hair cut? :D

Glad folks made you both comfortable  :)

When I go to the store I generally just get what I need as quickly as possible and avoid other people especially the stupid checkers and such

I love the self checkout isle  :)  Zip zap I'm done, it's been fun and I'm out and down the road

Only thing I can add Cindy, is go the distance, contact 'management' and let them know their staff made the day a good experience.

People are fast to complain to management, but we never seem to report good performance when it was offered.

People tend to be better when we prove there is worth to it.
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

Lifes little moments.

Take them as they come, seems sometimes they are few and far between girl.

Glad the new chair is working out, it is nice to be able to help your wife get out and about some. I use to do some work in a nursing homes and i felt so sorry for some of the patients being they where alone and had no one.

I wish you many more of these life moments that brings smiles to you and your wifes faces.

Hugs

Great news, Cindy.  I am glad the wife is happy with the new chair.

You two seem to be meant for each other.  I only wish she was so much better.

That's a very good idea.  Praise is so rare that it has a big effect.  I phoned the store where I had my bra fitting to praise the fitter.  That's a very personal service and she knew very well I was a just starting out t-woman.
