Japan I visited on my own (on the way home from Taiwan). I used to play "go" (a board game from ancient China and Japan) so I was learning Japanese for that. From all the Go books I learned a decent amount of Japanese characters (which *did* help in China). Japanese is a pretty logical language - at least on the surface.

I learned German before I ever learned English. Then I had to take French in high school. Later on, I crammed a 6 week Japanese course into 3 weeks and passed. Communication doesnt seem to be too hard for me.:p

Looking in the mirror, I am pretty certain I have the face shape now to be able to pull off the Major Motoko Kusanagi hairstyle. Which I have always wanted. Or Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

Lately I get to spend more time being feminine, being me. This makes me feel very comfortable with myself. It makes me happy. Even if I must revert to drag I am really comforted by my self acceptance.
I love my gender, I love being a girl.

just a little comment by a friend that means a lot to me.
i'm not out to anybody yet and i dont try to pass, but my normal behaviour is masculine enough for my friends to make funny statements about the possibility of me being male, and i value them a lot.
today there was a school concert and we went to watch it. as it was the school show we got up in the last item and started dancing to it and cheering as if it was a musical show. i've mentioned earlier that i get very diasphoric on dance floors, but it gets better when my friends are around, for the above reason.
so today it went well and i had fun, and on our way back to the class a friend who was not nearby to where we were dancing tapped me and teased me, 'so you danced with all the girls huh' i don't know if my translation got the right tone across, but she said it as if to a hot guy who'd get all the girls on the dance floor to dance with him. a tiny comment, yet it made my day!
