How do I battle someone on my friends list? Not the ingame one, but the one on 3DS.

I'm pretty sure you have to use the in-game friends list to battle others o.o I haven't found any other way.

And how do we find eachother that way?

EDIT: found it, you have to hit the connect to internet button, the blue one with the wifi kind of symbol.
