i have four small words on my hip that i got when i turned 18. i'd say it's only as girly as my hip looks lol. i also have stars on my ribs but they stop on top where a sports bra would start and on bottom where my hip starts to curve. ultimately i'd like to add another star on my hip if i got on T as soon as my figure slimmed up and another on top if i got top surgery, symbol of never having to wear a bra again. i also have a small unfinished scene on my forearm in memory of a close friend and the title of my favorite poem, one word, kinda between my shoulder blades. getting my ribs done was the worst pain i think i've ever been in. i wonder if the sensation would change if i went on T and got back into serious workouts.

I have a large greywash style clipper ship on my left outer arm.
I also have my brother's name "Joseph" in script on my right outer arm. He has my name on his chest.
I have a red and black nautical star on my left wrist in memoriam of a friend who was murdered who had a similar tattoo.
Many, many more to come. But when you have kids, it's hard to spend money like that on yourself.

I have a small tattoo of my college's mascot on one side of my lower back. If I'd known then that transitioning was possible, I probably would have gotten it in a different place. It looks ok under the bottom of a sportsbra or bathing suit top, but it's in kind of a random place on a dude who could take his shirt off and show his entire upper body.

I considered a teeny Waldo tattoo on my armpit, or on the inside of my arm near it. I think it'd be funny, but I most likely wouldn't seriously get it. XD

Haha, I love this idea! I vote that you get it, and if you don't then I have to ask if I can borrow the idea, haha.

I have a few tattoos or so that have been in the works for years now, but I don't plan to get any of them until I'm financially independent and can more than comfortably afford them. But that's just how I am.

It'll also give me the time to get into shape and look better so that the tattoos look better as well.

By the way Drew, I don't think that your tattoo really looks that girly. I could easily see any other guy getting a tattoo with that kind of font style (if I haven't already). Disney font isn't too girly, either.                 Just my opinion.

Most of mine were done when I was 18.

Right bicep - dolphin leaping from waves
Right ribs - tiger lying in grass
Left chest - butterfly ;P
Left shoulder - Done in my mid-twenties, hand-print of stillborn son with his name and D.O.B underneath.

I was thinking of getting the butterfly tattooed over, but now I think about it, it's quite symbolic ^_^ Am thinking of getting something else when it's all over, don't know where though. Need a dragon :P

I have my Vulcan name tattooed on my left wrist in ancient Vulcan calligraphy.

Because I'm just that cool.  >:-)

That's awesome. .

I've got six. "Live Before you Die" on my left forearm, a biohazard with three initials on my right wrist (B, N, J), a zombie pinup-ish bust on my left shoulder, a tiny little sugar skull (looks more like Jack Skellington, but I don't care) on my right shoulder, and then the ridiculous ones..."Release the Kraken" in big, cursive script on my right hip and... 5 sperms in a 5-leafed-clover kind of design. On my left butt cheek.
Yep.

Right foot: two calla lilies (for my mom but also the most femme tattoo I have)
Inside right ankle: Battlestar Galactica Aerelon symbol (equivalent to an aries tattoo)
Inside left ankle: green Enso circle
Right calf: The Fool tarot card
Left calf: 2D love robot sketch with love in binary underneath
Right arm above hand: triangle outlined in black (a la HP Deathly Hallows invisibility cloak)
Left inside arm: squid and whale mid battle
Left bicep: giraffe and penguin

More to come for sure, I'm getting a Queen tribute tattoo by the end of the year for Mr. Mercury's 20 year anniversary of leaving this Earth.

If the girlyness of the tattoo bothers you even the slightest...why not just wait until you're old enough to get it without her consent?

I love Queen. Last year I went though a phase where I pretty much just played Queen and Freddie's solo stuff over and over and over. I spent a small fortune on eBay buying records, memorabilia, and what not. The most expensive single item were shoes like the ones he is wearing in this picture.

Go for it, man! XD I might end up getting it. I've heard some folks say doc's ask you to shave your pits before top surgery, so I could just kill two birds with one stone, there. XD Seems like a fun tattoo for nephews/nieces/grandkids. lol.

To everyone with Dark Mark / Vulcan tats: OH MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE DORKS. I LOVE YOU ALL FOR IT, TOO. XDD

Sweet! I may have to wait until I've been on T for a while for this one: don't want Waldo to be too hard to find. Then again, I'll probably be on T for a while before I get any of my tats, so...that works.

Nothing yet, though I am keen on getting one. Probably something to do with Russia, because my degree is in Russian studies, and I love the country. We'll see.

I'd be very careful about a visible Russia tattoo among the LGBT community because quite frankly I don't think you'd make many friends with a Russian tattoo anytime soon.

I have two tattoos so far. My first is the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter, with a Pokeball instead of the Resurrection stone. My second is a leech, drawn by my favourite musician Emilie Autumn :)

I've got a lot...

I'm working on a full sleeve on my left arm, third session is this Friday.  Ocean themed, all black and grey, you can see it in my pic, that's after the second session.  I've got a rosary and "Faith Above All Else" tattooed across my chest and around my neck.  I have both wrists tatted with "Release" and "Surrender" and the side of my hands that say "Divine Order" when put together.

I'd love to get a chest plate after surgery but don't know how I could tie it in with the script that's on my chest now.  Going to talk to my artist on Friday to see if she'll draw me up something and then I can use that as the logo to do some fundraising so I can raise money for the surgery and the tattoo at the same time.  I'd love to be able to know that I can get that done after the scars heal -- would make me feel a lot better.

Both of my forearms are also tatted: "Truth Crushed To Earth" on the right side and "Shall Rise Once Again" on the left but I'm now covering the left so you can't see it very well anymore....

Faith is a big part of my life so a lot of my tats reflect that :)
