In increasing order of wonderfulness:
1. A successful shopping expedition including a stop at the food quart for amazing bourbon-flavored cajun chicken.
2. I FINALLY completed my six month required post-ear-pierce period with posts. I put hoops in the for the first time. YAY!
3. Looking at the new drivers license I got yesterday. What's that it says in the box labeled Sex? Come on, Suzi, you can say it out loud. Yes, go ahead and say it.

A full day playing Dead Space 3 shoulder to shoulder with my boyfriend :P, Jacket potato's with chili and a film cuddled up with the kittens on our laps....

Just shaved my legs.

Which was both a Herculean effort, and a logistical nightmare. However I dun care. They're done. They look nice. I'm happy.

It was yesterday, but this is the first chance I'd had to come here.

I had a date last night with another MTF. Just a simple thing. Dinner. Coffee afterward. But lots of conversation and laughs. Even a little kissing.

Legs always need touching up afterwards, for me (I am blind in the shower w/o glasses).

British news sources have been warning us since last week of a massive storm - the worst in a century, worse even than the one in 1987 in which 18 people died and 15 million trees were flattened - that would hit us on Sunday night/Monday morning.

So we secured everything in our garden, made sure our cars weren't parked near any trees, battened down the hatches... and waited with bated breath for the natural disaster that would hit us last night, expecting a trail of destruction to greet us this morning.

Well... in truth, the storm woke me up a couple of times in the night. It was rainy and windy, but when I woke up this morning the roads were fine, nothing was damaged, and the biggest disaster in our area was the huge amounts of autumn leaves lying on the ground. One of the leaves had even landed on my car! Oh, the humanity...

I was with a friend when he needed to go pick up something at one of his friend's home. When I got down with him, his friend's 6 year old daughter greeted me and asked me if I was a boy or a girl...

I wasn't quite sure how I should answer the question so I asked her why. She said it was because my hair was long like hers. I told her that hers was prettier though and she asked me my name. When I gave her my name, she smiled and hugged me saying, "I knew you were a girl! Just like me!"

She made me smile the rest of the day!

Oh so much to be happy about.
Skin getting softer, legs now silky smooth after laser sessions. How I love it now. What a difference.
Holidays starting soon after a horribly busy year postponed everything but now so happy.

Still have a huge smile on my face, perhaps it will need to be surgically removed?

So long and thanks for all the fish

A big burly builder ran ahead to open the door to the petrol station for me this morning, gave me the whole gallant "After you" even after he got a proper look at me from the front. Maybe this passing in public thing isn't the unclimbable mountain I feared it would be.

Getting better at applying my makeup up and discovered that Sainbury's do brilliant ladies clothes that are spot on for my age. They even did the boots I love in an 8!

Heaven......

He He He.  Glad you're alright FTM.  Do you have insurance?

Sadly, my insurer considers a leaf blowing onto my car 'an act of god'.  ;)

Bought a tape and measured my breast for the first time since HRT.

http://www.wikihow.com/Measure-Your-Bra-Size

Let's see, if my underbust is 34 and my breasts are 36.5... that's more than two inches, which is labelled as a B, but I just recently was able to fit an A padded bra without leaving empty space...

The talking heads hype the news with exaggerated weather reports here too, it's done in an effort to get better viewer ratings. Meanwhile they miss the boat entirely and when a truly nasty storm hits they go, "Where did that come from? We weren't expecting such severity!"

I guess they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't. The reason why this storm resulted in so little loss of life is probably because we had plenty of warning and it happened overnight, so most of us were sensible enough to stay indoors. There was an infamous case during the last severe storm of 1987, in which the BBC's weatherman said that a worried woman had phoned the Beeb asking whether the rumours she'd heard about an impending hurricane were true, and he answered that nobody should worry, the weather would be fine. The following day, 18 people died as the worst storm in 300 years hit the UK. So now they're extra-paranoid whenever there's a chance of bad weather here.

What made me laugh last week was that one newspaper was screaming about us expecting 'up to 30mm of rain!!!!1!!!' as if that's a lot of rainfall. 30mm, or just 3cms, is less than an inch. But they hoped their readers would see the '30' in the headline and run out to build an Ark or something. ::)

How interesting! The thread 'What made you sad today?' gets my attention immediately. I rush in and start typing right away! This one, on the other hand - 'What made you happy' - I skip past with a dismissive sneer.

Sure it's been a tough ride, this life. Sure there are lots of things I can point to and say, 'Ouch!' But, know what?!?, there are also a lot of sunbeams in my life, too. And part of the task of living my life a little more fully involves recognizing this. And what do you know - here is a thread in which I can share such recognizing! Will wonders never cease!?!

Four things make me happy right now:
1. A light October sun,
2. The fact I am taking today off work,
3. The pot of tea steeping at my side,
4. Sitting down (in about two minutes time) to start into Joseph Boyden's 'The Orenda'.

I have had this title on my shelf for a couple weeks now. I have not wanted to start it because (a) I know it will push many other parts of my life to one side and (b) I don't want it to be over! Well life, get ready for some pushing. And, as for it being over, such is the fate of all things, I'm afraid.
'Though it is the nature of mind to create and delineate forms, and though forms are never perfectly consonant with reality, still there is a crucial difference between a form which closes off experience and a form which evokes and opens it.'

My fresh purple sparkly glitter manicure.  Age appropriate?  Meh...

It's cute and makes me happy though.
