I just realized your Thanksgiving Day was in October!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and yours.  You are good folks.

Ach du lieber!

The German harvest holiday of Erntedankfest was in October too.  But hey, I observed Oktoberfest!

Good tidings to meine deutschen Freunde.

not a big deal for germans and dutch people. We don't really celebrate it that much, especially the more recent generations.

I speak a bit of dutch too. I would survive in the middle of the Netherlands, i am just not sure whether what i (almost instinctively) know is entirely correct.

Ik wens uw een mooie dag, Jamie, en een heerlijk vrijdag avond.

LOL  Without resorting to the google translator, I can pick out

Ik = Ich = I
dag = tag = day
vrijdag = Freitag = Friday

en or een = ?  (in?) (on?)

uw =? (you?)

"avond" looks more French than Germanic

LOL, I am stumped
