Hi folks,

Well, I screwed together some courage today! I met a friend/co-worker for coffee who I knew was involved in the LBGT community. We did the usual chatting and shop talk. Then we stopped by my place for a bit and I opened up about my crossdressing and gave a brief history about myself(Maybe I'll get brave enough to post it someday). I showed him a couple a of pics and he was very complementary and accepting. He said that he likes to do it too. We shot the breeze for the afternoon and had fun hanging out. It felt so liberating to be open face to face and it not be a big deal! He knows a bar where it would be ok to go en femme. I'm screwing together my courage to give it a shot. Wish me luck!

Hugs to all,
Cindy

Congrats Cindy. You have been taking big leaps forward, and I am happy for you. Let us know if you do have the chance to get to a bar. My wife and I are planning a trip to a club next weekend. We have been out shopping a number of times but this will be our first outing at a bar.

Yay for getting that behind you! I hope you have fun when you go out, hugs, Devlyn

Bars or nice clubs are great places to be yourself & dress very nice. You should "learn" a lot & meet new friends, men maybe if interested. You can bet men will hit on you if dressed nice.

I did "drag" shows long long ago in my early 20's dressed very nice & very passbale as a woman. It was my only outlet to be normal since unfortunately I had a male type day job.

Go have fun, GF.

Also, 2 people/friends together is safer. Some men may follow you once you leave the club, on the public street & on your way to your car. Be smart/safe.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

I haven't got to the club yet, but I just couldn't resist taking advantage of the recent rainstorm. I dressed business with a black pencil skirt and 2" maryjane heels. I figured hiding under the umbrella would be safe. Sure. I got to a bus stop with lots of people and the wind blew my umbrella inside out. I just fixed the umbrella and kept going. No one thought twice of me. I went to the bank machine without incident. I even got a polite "excuse me" as a younger lady passed. I've never felt so liberated! My friend stopped by and couldn't wait to tell him I went out and passed. I was still femme and I got a hug and told I looked great. Really looking forward to hitting the club.

Thanks for the safety tips FrancisAnn, I'll be careful. Good luck on your night out, Stochastic. I'm looking forward to hearing about it.

Thanks to everyone for being caring and supportive. I'm finally starting to feel confident and normal.

Great Big Hugs,
Cindy

Careful that feeling can be addictive.

Addictive is the word, Julia! I hope your night out goes well. It turns out the bar has recently closed. On a good note, I outed to another friend today. It was no big deal at all. I'm starting to think I'm being too paranoid about it. My wife and I have discussed it and we've decided to gradually start coming out to close friends. Unfortunately it's her secret too and she's as tired of the closet as I am. I guess we'll see who our friends really are...fingers, toes and eyes crossed!

Great big hugs,
Cindy

Hi Julia. I was hoping to here good news from you. My hopes have come true, I'm glad you had such a great outing. Like you, we enjoy shopping together as well, though I haven't done it en femme yet. We plan to do an out of town shopping/fun trip as well. I'll let you know how it goes. Glad things went so well for you!

Great big hugs,
Cindy

Well it looks like the ball is rolling. I outed to a couple more friends this week. One is your typical straight guy, he didn't care and found it interesting. The other is a photographer friend of mine. He said he does it too, go figure! He's agreed to do a photo shoot of me. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks everyone for being so nice, I'm so glad I joined Susan's.

That is so cool, I'm so jelly. I can't wait to come out to family and friends, just a few more years :-\

Kaitlin - "I can't wait to come out to family and friends, just a few more years."

Why the wait?  What will determine the timing of your coming out?

May I add, you have very sensuous lips.  How did you create that look or do you simply have remarkably beautiful lips?
