Obsessive-Compulsive Sexual Pathologising Disorder
Obsessive-Compulsive Sexual Pathologising Disorder (also known as Bailey's Disorder) is not a recognized diagnosis in the DSM-IV. However, it has been developed by researchers to come to mean a person who has the involuntary need to attribute all male-to-female transsexual motivation to the pursuit of sexual excitement. Among the symptoms of this condition is a tendency to feel inordinately threatened by transsexuals who fail to fit either a homosexual or paraphilic model of sexual-centeredness. This condition is often found in conjunction with Delusional Dominating Personality Disorder and may be a form of Paraphilia by Proxy Syndrome. It is likely that this disorder occurs most frequently in cisgendered males but is occasionally present in females and the transgendered. It tends to be pronounced among leaders of traditional mental health professions, university professors, and especially authors of books and journal articles.
