When I was a little kid I fell and broke my nose, but I don't remember it. My mother didn't want the doctor to fix my nose because it would be very painfull...and I ended with a nose right-turned...She should have allowed the doctor to fix it, because I would not remember. Well, anyway, I think my nose would still be bad even if I did not fall that day. Luckily there is FFS available, I only need the money now lol

Noses are such a big thing too! They sit right there in the middle of one's face! Mine has a deviated septum, and I've always noticed it a ton. I don't know how obvious it is, but if I'm looked at straight on it's definitely noticeable. Thing is, everyone has differently shaped noses, even cis women. I think eyebrows/hair/make up can be bigger factors in passing most of the time?

I really wish all trans care was covered by insurance. I think progress is on its way regarding that, but it's probably a ways off. Uhg. Health insurance in the US is a mess in so many other ways, I'm afraid trans care will be one of the last things to be resolved.

Natalia,
       I was thinking what Emily said, plus you'll probably need a brow lift to raise those nice eyebrows and perhaps a little brow bossing work at the same time. You have pretty big eyes and a nice shaped face, chin and jawline though. Stick with it you're looking good!

Catherine Tate!

It's been driving me nuts.  Thylacin, in the wig you are reminding me of a younger looking Catherine Tate.

Hehe, thank you.

Went out with my sister in Toronto. We went for a walk, did some thrift store shopping, and then met up with some of her friends. They were very friendly and open. Everyone gendered me correctly and was very positive.

I don't know if I "passed" per se, but I felt really comfortable and had a great time. :)

@emily
Thank you for saying I looked like a woman you know... It really meant a lot to hear that. As for the smiles, I have a hard time smiling for the camera cause I think I look goofy, but maybe later I'll try to put one with a smile.

@Kristal
Thank you as well.

I'm POSITIVE you did better than I did!! I went out today and definitely didn't pass :D

I think you all look so beutiful and commend you for your courage in posting your photos up on this thread. I think you all pass very nicely. A few of you are like myself, very femminine despite being pre hrt. Me, though I am small featured (5-5, 120 lb's small oval face, good hips, and all legs and arms [long legs, long arms for my height]) being pre hrt I'm just not that confident enough yet  with myself to post here........yet. In fact, I've just gotten over a rather lengthy bout of depression which is why I've been absent from the forum for a long time. The lack of a Gender Specialist in my area set me off on my journey of no-hope gloom.

I have however found an Endochronologist close enough to be within reach, and though I haven't contacted his office yet I'm hoping he will treat a Transgender woman. I'm 50-is and held off for so long on hrt because of family, and now that they are gone I want to start hrt as soon as possible. I'm confident I'll bloom because of my already effemminate features. My family practitioner has been no help -wouldn't even prescribe me Finasteride to help me keep the hair I have left, let alone avodart. Ah but he's retiring so as of the 1st of the year I'll have a new doctor that, again, I'm hoping will be a little more understanding. I've lived miserable for so long. I deserve to be happy. These slender hopes are the only thing keeping me together right now. That and seeing and reading about everyone's story and transitions here has pulled me out of this last one. For that I thank you all. ;)

Good luck Allyda, and welcome :D

@ Gwynne - You look lovely! Love the jacket/cardi... very you. Very happy you had a great experience... Only onward and upwards :)

@ Ms Grace - Thank you so much for the compliment :)  My hair is my pride and joy. It was so much thinner a year ago with the onset of MPB... The wonders of HRT. Fingers crossed it keeps getting thicker.

@ Emily - Big hug! Thank you for the vote of confidence. You're coming along rather rapidly too... Must almost be time for a new pic? :)

@ Thylacin - Hehe. Thanks! I'd still love to have your chin! You will be a stunner...

@ Andrea_LS - You're sweet, and your post made me blush a little :). And about Belldandy, it was strange. I chose the avatar without knowing the character, something just clicked. Then reading about the character, it was obvious. :o

@ Shantel - Can't wait to be said woman dropping kids off to school... One day... And thank you for the pointer on a night time eye moisturiser... Rather obvious now you pointed it out, but not something I'd thought of.

I didn't want to buy a wig, but perhaps a nice one could help me to hide a bit my brow...it is too big...

I know I still have a long long road ahead, but so far I am enjoying the trip. And thank you for the very kind words ^^

I decide I am going to be brave, and remove my internet anonymity. I can't promise I will keep the pictures up based on how scared I am someone I might know may see them. Yet I am getting tired of being scared, so if someone does see this - going to wonder how they found this place.

Plus my curiosity has got the best of me and I'd like to hear peoples opinions. How well will HRT work for me and do you think I'd need any "work" done. As I've said before on the forum I am pre-everything even coming out so very much guy....

So here is me....metaphorically naked to Susan's place world! At least I manage to sorta of smile....gosh really don't like pictures of myself...the mirror is more forgiving then the camera.

The eye brows might need some trimming, but I think you have a good base for HRT to do its work on.
