I was thinking of presenting more feminine in public but i am really concerned by how may electrolysis is going. I can't shave in between sessions and the last session has left the skin darkened leaving the illusion of a beard shadow...

I'm not seeing the facial hair shadow either.  But, your presentation is already on the feminine side.

You are going to be fine Bardoux.  Happy New Year.  :)

You will be fine. I am already not seeing a masculine face there. :)

I've started building up my wardrobe, which has been fun. I've also started working on my makeup applying skills. Never realized until now just how difficult it is to put on eyeliner lol Still gotta work on that. Pre-everything by the way. Also, I just realized how dirty that mirror is. Oh well  ;D

Ah sorry i meant a redness on my upper lip. I phoned my electrolygist today and she said it's most likely the skin trying to push out hair follicles. Brings me down though as i worry a lot about most thiings and drives me nuts when i don't have any control over these type of things.

Thank you all for replying and have a happy new year xx

Caitlyn, I think that your face will be just fine. Before I took hormones, I had a more masculine face than you. You pretty much already have an oval face and with hormones, your chin and jaw wont be as defined and will soften up and I believe you will be lovely. Just how i see it. :) In the pictures, you skin looks good, but with the hormones, your skin complexion will change and that will help to.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks! I'm still working on outfits to wear on the night, starting to get a little apprehensive about it - first time out! It also won't stop raining here, not good when I want to curl my hair :p

You look great in your profile picture. Should be fine going out. I have the same problem with the rain. I have super curly hair that I straighten, and I have strait hair extensions in...... not a good mix

Sooo...yeah. These are being taken way early in the morning. I have the worst body known to man, I know lol. Currently working on my weight, lost a lot but a lot hasn't cut it quite yet. Those shoulders..;_;

Ксениа: Thanks x your picture is prettier and more honest - selective lighting in mine to hide the facial wrinkles...

Lavender: I think you look lovely. Your shoulders are a little big for your hips, but you have the chest to distract people with! Google 'inverse body triangle' and you'll find pages of hints X

Oh wow i thought you already started! You have a very nice base to build from, very round, soft features.

First picture is pre everything with eyeshadow/eyeliner. Second is guy mode from a few days ago at work - bleh.. Third was also a few days ago, eyeshadow/eyeliner one month after low dose HRT. I am slowly building my wardrobe, as money is tight with a slow work season. Desperately saving for electrolysis.

I am used to presenting androgynously in general (still male), but I'd like to start presenting as female when going to actual trans-specific activities.  I used to, a long time ago, pass as female without make up.  Here are my most recent pictures from a few weeks ago without make up, etc.  I still see "male" when I look at these pics (probably because in them I'm not doing anything specific to present as female).  What else should I do to pass?

Ill no longer be defined by my condition. From now on, I'm just, Kate.

Are you on HRT yet, Kate? If not, I think it'll soften up your jawline, which to me, is really the only leftover masculine trait in your face.
Have you tried bronzer on your jawline? I know it does wonders for mine.

I cannot take hormones so my jawline is my jawline.  I don't know how to use makeup really and never had.  Any tips with the bronzer you are talking about?

Brush it along the jawline and lower cheek. Do NOT put it on the upper cheek or your chin; it makes them look really big and unnatural.

Hi girls :) this forum (and this topic) has been a big inspiration for me so I wanted to ask for your thoughts on my chances on transitioning (after having thought over and over whether I should post my face online). Here's two pics of me with some eyeliner and highlighter, the profile and one from the front. Pre-everything. Happy that my webcam has such a low quality lol.

In your experience, how much should I expect from HRT and is it likely I'll have to do FFS? Any tips pre-transition? (e.g. what the heck should I do with my hair)
