I'm just sitting here watching Seinfeld. A few people have talked about getting together out at the house. I doubt I will go since it will just be a headache with drunks and the like. I can't drink so I don't want to be there anyway. A single drink or two is okay, but I can't stand being around people that are totally plastered because they usually act like idiots.

I might just watch the ball drop on Earthcam or something. Unless I get an invite for a smaller party that won't devolve into drunken stupidity.

1:30 pm...  still deciding on a movie with popcorn and beer... or a one woman dance party (with popcorn and beer).

5am 1 January, getting ready for going for a jog, still warm it dropped to 28C. Brrr

 its December 31, at 2:05 PM EST here in New England. Its 23 degrees farenheit. I got out of work early and now I am heading into Starbucks to get a coffee and finish up my mammoth T&E paper which is due on the third.

10 mins to midnight here in France and just below freezing. In a few minutes fireworks and Chinese crackers will be going off all over the place and generally people come out on the street to wish each other a happy New Year.

6:49 pm on the East Coast of the USA. Just poured myself a half glass of the wife's Disaronno. Man this stuff is tasty. Going to finish cooking dinner and watch the ball drop on tv. Happy New Year everyone!

2013 is finishing up nicely
Decided that I wanted a low-stress "End of 2013", so I took time off work on Monday and today.
On Monday, my spouse and I had a wonderful lunch with Maddie (MadelineB)

Started today with some chores: Up early to put the garbage can and the Recycle Can out at the street. Re-filled the Pellet stove (120 lbs of pellets).

Continued with joyful relaxation: Made a pot of Tea before waking the spouse (she is not a morning person), we just relaxed around the house, I was an Internet Potato most of the day.

Trying to decide on dinner plan: Eat left-overs or go out for BBQ Ribs (or Pizza)

The "Big" New Years Eve Plan:  Watch some Big City Fireworks on television after dinner, then 60% change of going to sleep before midnight.
