NOT THE PIZZA! D':

I'd send some of the pizza I'm eating at the caf (in guy mode, didn't feel like putting on makeup just to br out for 20-30 minutes.  If anything else, that's what I envy cisgirls of being able to do) but it'd spoil :(

What would that entail?

Two things I would need to bring if I visit you: a pizza, and Shaina.

Yes, consider yourself fortunate; a large majourity of states in the US require you to have SRS before changing your gender, and many people can't/ dont want to have SRS for whatever reason.
I'm fortunate California will allow me to change my name and gender on my birth certificate without doing anything more than making a court apperance. Of course I have to get to California to do that first...

Ex-spouses and headaches... they both suck.  :-\

on a lighter note, yes it is great that California does let you change all that, you'll need to file a petition with the court, run an add in a local paper for 4 weeks for the name change, and have a letter from a doctor stating you have had proper medical treatment for transition from one gender to another. For the DMV you will need the decree/court document and a DL329 signed by the same doctor stating your gender has been changed permanently (look good for your new DL Picture!). For the birth cert, you have to call the state dept of public health and ask them to mail you an official form printed on special paper to order a new birth cert (the old one is sealed) and will need the court documents and the original letter from your doctor. For the ssn card, you'll need the decree/court document and your old photo id only. All the above can be done in about 2 months.

To change all of your bank accounts, loans, credit cards, and the credit bureaus you will need the new DL, ssn card, and a certified copy of the decree of name & gender change.

I took some Greek in university, but have to concede some electronic assistance with that post  ;)

There is a very large and healthy Greek community in Canada--especially in Toronto.

Cool, I was im Greece in Novermber 2002. Visited Katakolon, Mykonos, Santorini (my donkey leaned over a ledge to get a snack and I almost fell off lol,) Athens, and Corfu in that order.

Strange, though. There has to be some EU regulation about it in the works, considering a large majourity of EU nations recognise and provide healthcare for transpeople. Heck, I remember reading something saying the highest court in Germany ruled that FFS is to be covered by the govenrment health plans.
I suspect it will change soon.

Fortunately I haven't lived in Kern County for over 15 years, so no need to fear being outed by the paper or anything.
As for the DL, mine is Michigan, because that's where I'm going to school. IIRC, I have to wait for SS to change over before I can do the DL, considering michigan doesn't recognise gender changes without SRS, so pretty much SS changing forces them to.
