Since starting HRT, the little short white vellus hairs where my hairline USED to be started getting longer.  9 months later many of those white vellus hairs are now brown (my natural hair color) and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. So will these hairs get longer with each hair cycle or just stop? Anything I can do to help those little guys grow other than HRT and fin?  If they will get a little longer with each cycle, then how long is each hair cycle?

Hugs

Kay
Just trying to find comfort in this "shell" that doesn't fit.  But I am "remodeling" the shell finally!

After 4 months on minoxidil I started to notice the same thing, and now 3 weeks HRT, it looks like more Vellus hairs are starting to become terminal (probably mostly from the minoxidil). I'm guessing they'll just grow as hair naturally does. I don't know how you would increase growth other than wait, but it sounds like HRT is helping.

Hi!

since starting HRT I also noticed that some bald spots on my hairline started growing again. The new hairs, however, aren't getting too long. I think they grow quite weak, but after a new cycle they'll eventually grow stronger and longer. I don't expect the new hairs to be as long or as strong as they were one day.

One thing that I use daily and that probably helped me too is a lotion of minoxidil! It works shortnening the cycles and inducing the new grown hair to fall and a new stronger one to grow in its place.
