Finegold also pledged to continue his support for LGBT rights in Congress by supporting the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," which was one of Meehan's signature issues. He also pledged support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, both of which are pending in Congress, and for making both bills inclusive of transgender people (a transgender-inclusive version of the hate crimes bill has already passed the House).
