I went in for a consultation for laser hair removal yesterday and was told that my light skin color and natural blond hair wouldn't be ideal for laser hair removal. She suggested that I try waxing. My concern is that in order for waxing to work it will need to grow out a bit in order to pull the hair out. I'm also wondering if it will work to keep the hair from growing back once I'm on hormones. I'm fairly hairy with the heaviest area being my chest and stomach. Electrolysis would be too expensive for me, but I do plan on using it on my face.

Anyone else out there where laser hair removal won't work for you? If so, what have you done?

I had laser hair removal on my face and it worked great, but I'm chiming in b/c HRT effectively has left me with only body hair on pits, pubes, and legs (and fine downy arm hair) - like a cis woman. So there's hope. :) It took about six months for it all to disappear, as I recall...
