Just a bit of a pointless rant here. Having a catheter sucks!! :p
I feel like when I was a child, and we would be on a long car journey where I am so desperate for the toilet. But this time, we never get to our destination... :/
Earlier today I was standing by the toilet, almost dancing around with desperation, waiting for it to drip into the catheter...it seems to be one droplet every few minutes.
I keep reminding myself it is only temporary, and Ill look back and laugh at what a nuisance it all was :p

On the plus side, I get my drain and stent out tomorrow, and thatll mark one week post 3rd stage of phallo (I did a write up on the bottom surgery boards - go check it out if youre interested :D ).
I cant wait to be able to wee again, never thought Id hear that sentence!

Ahhhhh, I want to peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

I'm sorry man. But I have to say this made me laugh. I've had a catheter once and it's one if the few physical sensations I remember from my childhood.

Thanks for your write up of your experiences. As a guy on the fence about bottom surgery (most cost reasons) it was really insightful.

I hope you get the dreaded tube removed soon so you can enjoying peeing again. Seriously, it may be gross but it's one of the things that make life way more comfortable!

not sure if you still have the catheter in and for how long, but if you're going to have it for a little longer, have your doc prescribe you ditropan. It stops the bladder spasms (which is what makes you feel like you need to pee). It will give you dry mouth and might make you get a little itchy but it really helps.
