Thanks to both of you ^^#

I just always find that whenever I look in the mirror all I can see are my masculine traits and I can't get over them :S

It's like, my brain just gets so confused when I look in the mirror I always have a bad reaction :(

Oh honey, that's such a common problem that we all have, we don't see ourselves as others do. I think something clicks in the visual part of our brains that sees us as our old selves and it sometimes takes years to change that. The only thing I would change about you that would compromise passibility would be the hair color, it's so unnatural as to draw immediate attention to yourself and we want to blend. Other than that you are beautiful already, love your long legs and nice frame, you're looking great honey!

I figured it must be a fairly common thing...I guess I won't really truly know how well I pass until I am spending more time out and about in public, and interacting with people who don't know I'm trans :S

The hair colour is something I go back and forth on all the time, it's just a fairly cheap party wig at the moment while I grow my own hair (although if my natural hair grows much longer I don't be able to wear a wig any more). I think you are right in that it is too vivid a red, it draws a bit too much attention, especially in bright lighting, but I absolutely love red hair! :D So I will probably end up dying my natural hair to be something similar...but a shade or two darker just so that it is less..."wow!"

Your body looks amazing!  Don't know why you'd hate anything about it. Hopefully my arms can look that slender in a few months. I was never very muscular but my shoulders and upper arms look so manly :(

Agree about the hair color. That's the only think that throws me off a bit. You are cute though that's for sure!

I agree wholeheartedly. After all of the self-depricating comments, I was expecting her to be "unpassable". Instead, she's absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks guys (and to everyone else that commented)!  I'm still trying to figure out why everyone feels this way about me because I really do feel unpassable and ugly.  I guess it's hard for us to see the good in ourselves. Though I do have to admit everyone telling me that I pass and look good is making me feel very nice!

Okay...here goes...just over five months HRT. I know I have a lot of work to go yet (especially the hair and I am not wearing any make up) but this is the first picture I've taken that I can really see Jane emerging so I wanted to post :).

I see a female profile there, Jane.  No, you don't pass, you knew that already, but I am able to see the real you underneath :)
10-13 tried mother's finger nail polish, dresses and her heels
23 phase of body building and then suddenly cross dressing and wearing makeup
26 started calling myself Kristy in my voicemail recording
36 saw therapist, went on HRT and partially identified as Kristy
37 moved and started HRT again, dressing a little more feminitely
41 started HRT again, and wife made agreement if I would give up Kristy
45 started HRT again, this time for good, because wife didn't hold up her end of the agreement.  New agreement with 11 year old son and wife is that Kristy be present only at certain times and not around strangers or family, unless they are ready to be a part of Kristy.

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting

I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks! That's what I was going for when I made that avatar :-)

Why thank you, you clearly have impeccable taste ^^

Nobody ever comments on the Bioshock Infinite necklace though, much more obscure I guess xD

@learningtolive, I don't know if you chose your avatar as being close to how you look, but like Shan said, I feel you look exactly like I envisioned you to be. I love cute & that is Beautifully you. Youth deals a lovely complexion. You say you are having facial hair removal treatment (you don't look like you have a heavy or dark beard) but without make up you barely notice anything. Your hair appears a pixie cute nice length. Are you going to grow your hair long? Like your lips and wonderful smile. Hormones are creating a really femme face. I think you pass 100% femme adorable.

Hello gals! I'm Mel and this is my first post in this forum!  Please tell me what you think with complete honesty. I'm not on hormones, and I should probably get my eyebrows done. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! :P

For being pre-HRT you are well on your way!! You have beautiful skin tone and a great bone structure. Remember your eyebrows are the focal point of your face, so maintenance is key! You look GREAT!!

No worries hun, I'm sure your still welcome here. Everyone has their "moment" :)

If you wore some lip gloss then I say you look great, your eyes are well done. I wouldn't expect anything if I saw you walking by because your body is great and your face is great!

My first comment is that you need to be here sweet cakes and that you have been sorely missed. Next is that you have not ever caused any problems here and should feel free to post all you want because we look forward to it. Finally there is nothing dorky about your looks, you are a darling as always and your hair is coming right along nicely.

sorry, I need to say this, but we need a top to bottom full exposure picture in a nice dress and heels to make the proper assessment .
